2018 Is Going To Be Amazing!

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all had an amazing festive season and that you have started the new year with a bang :)

From me, things are starting off well and I am so excited to see what 2018 brings me. My websites are doing great, my income is a little up and down, but every month I earn enough to get by on.

My goal for last year was to build my name and my authority, I kept all my pricing low and the orders flew in all year but I had to do a load of work for the amount of money I brought in.

It paid off and towards the end of the year I started raising all my pricing - moving towards a new goal of working less and making more.

I took off 2 weeks over Christmas to spend with my family - the first time I have ever really taken proper time off since before my first child was born 6 years ago!

For 4 days over Christmas I didn't even turn my laptop on and that felt amazing.

In all honesty I struggled to get back into work and it made me realize quite how hard I have pushed myself to succeed. I usually work every weekend and most evenings too... I work every morning while my kids are at school and if I can fit in some work around my kids in the afternoon I always squeeze it in.

I have made a decision moving forward to stop working every weekend, to stop working most evenings and to try as much as possible to limit my work to the mornings.

I am pleased to say that this year has started off beautifully with a reputable and well known financial services company contacting me and offering me $200 for a sponsored post. When I accepted they said I "made their day". I wanted to say "right back at you!" but instead decided to play it cool and act like every sponsored blog post goes for $200 or more. This is the third job I am doing for this same company which is really promising!

Then an clothing boutique contacted me and asked me for pricing on a review and they immediately accepted when I quoted $140 for a blog post review! The bonus is I get some really cool free clothes for my son too.

For those members that are feeling disheartened and unsure of themselves I want to share with you that I made a total of $7 in my first 3 months of joining WA. I worked all day in the business I was running at the time, and then every evening I came onto WA and I devoured the training, I wrote blog posts and I marketed like mad. I would work until 3am when I just couldn't concentrate any more and fall into bed exhausted.

I remember the $7 I made clearly because after 3 months of grafting so hard my husband asked me how it was going and what I had made. I told him $7 since I had started and he burst out laughing at me. He said I was wasting my time and I must be crazy to put so much effort in for so little.

But I had a vision and I did not slow down. I could see clearly what I would one day be able to achieve.

Yesterday I shared some of my New Year successes with him and he whatsapp'd me and said "Can I resign yet?"

Now I choose to finally slow down a bit and yes one day, maybe in a year or so he will be able to resign.

Keep working for what you want and don't stop until you have it!
