I'm writing an introduction for one of my posts and would like to know if my post title HAS to be included in it.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the GREAT question, Lynne! I learned a lot!

I'm glad I could help you learn something new too.

It is amazing what we can learn right here in the community, Lynne!

Jeff

Google seems like it that way, I always shoot for that, I make it my WA habit

Thanks, joe

It should also be in your first paragraph

Thanks, good to know.

If the post is a Keyword title that will be submitted to Google, then having the keywords of your post title in the first 10% of your post will help your SEO.
Having the complete title in the first 10% of your post works for SEO too.
As Steven said, either as text or as a heading.

Michael

Thanks, Michael

There is nothing set in stone that say you HAVE to include it, although its good SEO practice to have it in the introduction. (assuming your title is a targeted keyword and is explaining to readers what the post is about) Maybe in Heading 2 or Heading 3.

What exactly is the title gonna be? Does it make sense having it in the introduction?

Hope this helps

Steven

Hi, Steven
The title is How To Structure The Perfect Post In Minutes.
I was thinking about adding the 4 topics I'm going to cover in it too.
What do you think?

Just checked your website...great work by the way. But i am now confused do you mean structure a (blog)post or a post to carve lol?

Giggle,
Thanks for the laugh, no it's for a blog post and it's for another website altogether. I have an affiliate marketing website it's for that one. I've put my 2 carving websites on hold for now as I'm taking the Bootcamp training. So I'm working on a new post for a lesson.

Haha no problem.

I would say YES, just add it naturally into the first few sentences explaining your intention when writing the blog.
Maybe try something like...

Blog Post Title (heading 1)

Introduction and explanation (heading 2)

Just explain to readers how you have used the skill to structure other posts you have written...then use anchor text links to send readers to other posts you have written as an example

Steven

Ok, that's what I'll do. Thanks for the suggestion.
And thanks for letting me know to also use the H2 heading for my intro. I've never thought of doing that. It's a great idea. I'll try that too.

I was already planing on adding links to some of my other posts as well. But, thanks for reminding me.
Lynne,

You are welcome Lynne if I can help you again don't hesitate to ask.

All the best

Steven

Thanks, and you got it.

Hello,
I'm hoping you can help me find a missing published article named Jaaxy's Keyword Research Tool, Review & Tutorial. I worked on this article for 3 weeks and final

If you go to Posts > All Posts or Pages > All Pages, is there a track option? The article may have been inadvertently deleted.

Do you still have the content in the SiteContent tool?

There is no Tracking in Wordpress as far as I know. I couldn't find it on mt site anyway. I do not have the content on my website or on my Wordpress site either. It just vanished into thin air.

I don't have any drafts or anything. I was going to create my own copy of it today for my records, but when I went to do that it was already gone.

Any suggestions?
I'm waiting on site support as we speak.

Did you create the content using the Site Content tool? If so, go to Websites > Site Content and make sure My Content is selected then look under Published and Unpublished. Is there anything there?

No, I didn't do that. I created it in WordPress and published it from there.

OK, that's fine. I prefer Site Content just so I have a record and I have access to the image library.

So, log into your website and navigate to Posts > All Posts. Do you see All, Published, and a third option called Trash at the top? Look in there.

Do the same under Pages > All Pages (in case you made it a page instead of a post).

I looked there already and no, it's not there either.
Thanks for trying to help me too. I appreciate it very much.

And you're sure you actually published it? It should be there if so. If you just typed it up but never hit publish...it's probably gone.

Yes, I did publish it, it was on my website for 1 day, then it vanished.

Reach out to site support. I wonder if they did a restore from a backup or something and overwrote your work.

Thanks for your help, I've been talking to site support and they are looking into it now.

Site support couldn't find the reason behind it, they said to just start over again with it. Heavy sign. So I guess that's what I'm going to do.

Sorry. It's very odd indeed. Use Site Content or select all and copy and paste into a local file for future reference.

YEP, I'll be doing that from now on that's for sure. I learned this lesson the hard way. I won't be making that mistake again.

Does affiliate programs provide you with product pictures and descriptions for your website?

Hey Lynne,

Amazon does for sure: and most Clickbank businesses provide images too. You only need to read over the rules of whichever business you wish to become an affiliate of... or, contact them personally and ask them.

Hope you find this helpful.

Yes, I did, thanks.

Yes usually are provided
Tim

Thanks

Yes images, descriptions, links and banners

awesome info. thanks.

Yes, normally they do. The description however will be at its most basic.
Michael.

Thanks

I use the pictures from Amazon which they provide. It's on my Affiliate page where they provide the links.

Not sure about other Affiliate sites.

Lily 😁🎶

Thanks, that's good to know.

I have a Walmart affiliate acount, does anyone know how I go about getting pictures and discriptions to put into my website? When I try looking at their catalogs in the affilia

Hi Lynne,

First of all I did not know you get a Walmart affiliate account. That's great. I think Triblu has you covered.

Best wishes,
Michael

I just got it, now I'm trying to figure out how to use it.

Hey Lynne,

Like all affiliate programs out there, you need to read over and be aware of their terms of use. Here are Walmart's: https://affiliates.walmart.com/#!/terms
See 1st screen print below...

To find out exactly what you want to know about using your Walmart affiliate link, I recommend you contact them personally and keep a copy of whatever they tell you, for future use should you ever need proof. See 2nd screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks, I'll do that.

I did read through their terms, I have two questions.
it said this,
use or place any web browser add-ons, toolbars or pop-ups on your website;

What is a web browser add-on? And does that mean I can not use any add or internal pop-ups on my site?

link any Qualifying Link to any website other than our Site, including, for example, your own website;

Does this mean that I can not link to any internal pages on my own site? Meaning I write a review and use an internal link to direct them to a products page to order that item.

You asked: "And does that mean I can not use any add or internal pop-ups on my site?"

My answer: Always ask the business you are an affiliate of these types of questions.

You asked: Does this mean that I can not link to any internal pages on my own site?

My answer: same as above.

Thanks, I'll do that. I just thought you might know the answers. You seem to have most of the answers to everything on here. That's a good thing. Thanks again.

If they have a datafeed, that should include the images and descriptions approved for use.

I'm guessing you are a Wal-mart fan, but geez, they pay so little commission for all the work you do!

They have a Datafeed, but for some reason, it's not working for me.
It's not that I'm a Walmart fan or anything like that, it's because they are the ONLY company who will give me an affiliate with them at this time. My website doesn't get much traffic and no one else will take me on board, so something is better than nothing.

Yep, that's what I thought too.

If you want to message me your URL, I can review it to see if it would qualify for Awin or ShareASale.

Glad I was able to offer some suggestions of additional merchants on both Awin + ShareASale who could fit your site plus pay higher commissions and have longer cookies!

I am looking for an affiliate program to take me on as well as I do not have traffic at this time.

Any suggestions for affiliate programs when you have no traffic! :{

Thanks

It depends on what your niche is. I looked at affiliate networks as well as regular affiliate programs. Some times you have to try a lesser business. That's what I had to do.

What is your Niche? Maybe I can help you find an affiliate program.

I actually was able to send Lynne several different suggestions that were specific to her niche. ShareASale always offers a wealth of programs for niche sites. I'm still working to add all of them here, but I'm glad to make recommendations whenever anyone needs some!

JeannineC, I think you wanted to send this message to Carolyn 1555 instead of me. Thanks for all your help too.

It's one of the limitations of WA in the way we can respond. I saw your comment that you were offering to help her find merchants, so I wanted to also share that we found merchants for you. Thanks!

Yes, you did and thanks for that.

Perhaps a search on the item you are selling. Whatever it is, it seems there should be some manufacturer info out there. For example, if it's camera equipment try checking B& H photo. I believe almost every product is advertised somewhere and there will be images and description to use.

The only pictures and descriptions I can get are from their regular website, not the affiliate one. I wanted to know if there was an easier way to get these without having to copy and paste them.

I asked for a site feedback and received an article comment instead. It showed up in my site feedback area.

My question is, is there any way I can either move this comme

I asked my coach about this issue a while back. The resonse was that leaving feedback on the person's website was optional.

Thanks

The person is probably fairly new themselves Lynne and didn't realise where to comment and what you had wanted.

I'm sure they wouldn't mind re posting for you.
It doesn't hurt to ask.

Lily 😊

Thanks I did but he still didn't understand, but that's okay I figured it out myself.

Cut and paste it where ever you want it to be in a post or page.

Thanks, but I can't do that . It shows up with my name instead of his.

Oh bummer! I'm going to go try it out myself and will get back to you.

Recently, I had a post of my reviewed in the Site Feedback and I just did a test post and it worked. Maybe try again.

Only highlight the message in the 1st cut and paste, do the same for the reviewer...if that's not a breach in privacy.

Site Feedback is like a back office function, but Site Comments gives you the option to approve it to your website.

I'll try that again. Maybe it will work this time.

Thanks for trying to help me with this. I went back and tried what you suggested, I copy & pasted his message into the comments, that worked. BUT, I couldn't find a way to copy his name or picture into the who said space. So I did this instead. I put my name next to it and said at the beginning of his post " this message was said by_______name." I figured it was good enough.

Cool! Probably good that his picture didn't copy over. He may not have wanted it on a website. If he was okay with it, that would've been fine though.

Glad you got a resolution.

I do t think so but you could ask that same person to post it as a comment in your site...
