Could some one please help me out?

How do I remove my about Lynne article from my home page on my website, without removing it from my about Lynne menu? It appears on both my home page and my about Lynne. It should ONLY appear on my about Lynne. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

According to my edit page in WordPress It should ONLY be in my about Lynne, because that's the only menu that has a check by it concerning this article.

I was thinking of just erasing the whole about Lynne article and starting over with it to see if that would fix the problem, but I don't want to lose my 4 comments that go with this page.

Any suggestions? I can give you my URL if you need to see my site to help me fix this problem.

LuvKhattar has your back.

Hi Lynne, I faced a similar issue while building my website. I will write about my experience.

Are you using any theme? There are plenty of options to choose the WordPress themes other than the basic ones that are shown.
Choose one of the themes to begin building your website the way you like.

Then make the home page as a static page and then go to your dashboard then appearance and customise from there.

Go to the posts under the menu section and you can make the changes from there, I hope this might help. Feel free to write if you get stuck anywhere. Good Luck.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

Hi Lynne,
Quite unfortunate that some of these things happen. I guess it's because of our knowledge.

I had a similar problem sometime.

What I did was that I decided on the one I wanted and I went to my wordpress and deleted the one that I did not want.

It is really up to you to decide which one you want to keep. I think you should be able to delete the one you don't want on wordpress.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for your response. I can't do that as it only appears on my WordPress in the one menu. It's in the right place there too. But my website shows it in two different places. I think Labman has the issue solved.

If you have comments, then you have created a post and not a page. About me should be on a page. Posts show on your blog roll and will show on the front page unless you set up a static page for your front page. you can set a page to have comments but it isn't normally done.

Yes it is a post. If I convert to a static page will it allow my articles to be put on the home page in the order that I create them instead of the last post always being put at the top of the page?

Hi Lynne!
Could you share the link of your website?

yep, I'll PM you with it.

It's sent.

replied, Please check your inbox.

Hi there Lynne. I suspect that you have created a post and a page called 'about Lynne'. Before deleting anything (as you have comments on one of them), I would suggest asking support to sort this out for you.

Click on Websites and then at the bottom of the menu click on support and you can send them an email.

If your About Lynne article is a post, they can possibly convert it into a page for you and keep the comments.

I hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that is Labman's idea doesn't work for me. Thanks again.
