I have been trying to organize my pages over and over and get them in good order. I have them where I want them but when I click save, and look at at my page, they arent in the

It happen to me before, I just log out then log-in back again and when I re-arrange my pages it works.
As Mr. BlueDot suggests - I would look at Kyle's training again. Good Luck! Let us know if it works know or still not. Thanks.
I just went through this a few days ago. Here's how I took care of it.
First, go into edit mode for the page you want in the menu bar.
Under Page Attributes you will see a box that says Order. Put the number 1 for that page and then continue with the rest of your pages numbering them in the order you want :)

I just went through this a few days ago. Here's how I took care of it.

How do you see the traffic on your website?
Hi Lynn, I use Statcounter, it's easy to understand and use. You can access it directly from your WP Dashboard once it's installed. Call me stupid, but I've battled with Google analytics since installing it. Lydia.

Best way in my opnion is to add google analytics to your website.. They have a real time viewer. I have a few sites that I maintain that get hundres of visitors a day. Its pretty cool to watch them and see what they do.

Lynn, hang in there. You can do it! Ask, ask, ask.... PM people (even the higher ranked ones) and they totally are there for you. Take care and relax. It will be alright.
Hi Lynn, sorry you are so frustrated. I just wanted to say that I have felt the exact same way off and on. One day I was just about to walk away, but the next day I finally understood something I had been struggling with. So make you sure you don't quit too soon - because right around the corner could be your answer.
I mean, I get the feeling you are not going to quit, it's just that frustration sometimes makes you want to, and that frustration can drive you bananas! Lol.
Hang in there and keep posting to let us know what you need help with. There are so many members here, all knowledgeable on different levels so there is always some solution someone can help you find for your problem.
Let us know how it's going-hope it gets less frustrating for you soon. :)
And don't forget to take little breaks from all of this stuff-I used to force myself to sit in front of the computer, willing my brain to grasp a concept that everyone else seemed to be picking up fine, and willing myself to get work done. But after a certain point, your brain gets exhausted....so make sure you just take little breaks.
Sorry, did not mean to run off at the mouth, I just sympathize with you.

I have been doing this for about 8 years and am not any better except for knowledge. I know this is because I quit when things don't go as I wish. I get frustrated and give up and then start again later only to pretty much start over. WA has changed my mind about everything. I don't see myself quitting at all again. I may take a break to regroup but will not give up this time. Don't give up. That's the only way you will fail.
A few of us feel like that at times but quitting does not get us to where we know we want to go.
why quit, to start all over again? Stay with the challenge it's only temporary until you get the hang of it. It's like Ice Skating keep on trying until until you learn.
HI, like everyone else asked ...what is the problem ? Maybe we can help get it sorted out, or at least show you a direction, but we need a little information :-)

Like Beverley says, your site is live for all to see. In the beginning you have very little content, and rankings are based on quality content. To help your posts get ranked, you can index them in Google, but you will get to all these steps by following the training. Lydia.

Jaweda2K, thanks for that information, that's encouraging to know. I'm a "newbie" and learning and thought the same as LynnAnderson, that my rankings should appear shortly if I'm following the steps. Time and patience is essence and the rewards shall appear in time:)
Ranking take time. My first site did not get any Organic traffic until the very end of the first month it was up, the next month more started to trickle in, by the third month I had a good flow of traffic.
Your site is live the moment you create it. Everyone can see it. unless you decided to block it. :) Beverley

how do you change your theme?
It depends on the Theme and where the wording is. To change the Title and tag line (the wording under the site name) go to Appearance => Customize
If there is wording on the home page it depends on if it's over an image or just text, and if the page is called sample page or home. If it's a proper home page your theme should have settings - Appearance => Theme Settings (may have a different name such as Theme Options or Theme name etc) You can edit images and text on the home page (may be called presentation page) in the settings.
once you have found the abundance of themes Lynn, you will find that they are grouped by appearance and other helpful categories...good luck- once you have done it once, it is simple!

When you upload a new theme, you have the option to a "live preview", that way you can watch your new theme on your website before installing it! Hope this helps

its very easy. login to your admin panel. then go to appearance, then click theme. search for new theme from thousands of free theme available. if you have purchased any premium theme from anywhere then upload the zip folder by clicking upload.
I did that but its only bringing up like 4 themes? and one screen is for a custom screen?
