I'm looking to add Amazon product reviews to my website and wondered, should I add U.S. Amazon affiliate links or U.K. (as I'm from the UK). Do I use the U.S. affiliate links a

Hi - yes, as Tyson has advised, use OneLink to direct customers to their correct country.

Do be aware, that the target of 3 sales in 180 days applies to each country you sign up to.

Thanks Diane, what happens if I don't reach 3 sales in 180 days? Sorry for the question, but I'm new to this.

Hi - you are removed from Amazon's program. You can reapply immediately and will be accepted, but you are given a new ID and will have to change all your product links.

Thank you for clarifying.

Hi Tyson

Thank you for responding. I didn't know about Amazon Onelink! I'll sign up now.

Cheers!
Lynn

I would set up an Amazon account for each of the main areas you might hope to see traffic and sales from (Canada, US, and UK for example) and then use Amazon Onelink to tie them all together on your site.

I've added a couple of affiliate links within one of my posts but when I click on an image to insert the URL, the two icons don't appear in the top left of the image for me to

If it's not appearing next to the image you should still be able to use the link icon in the toolbar at the top of the editor. Just click on the image, then click on the link icon within the toolbar & it should open up your options for linking the image :)

Hi Dale, thank you so much. Brilliant - it worked!

Hi
Are you in content creator or wordpress?
Daisy

I'm in wordpress.

When you edit the image click on the Link to option and select custom URL. You'll then have a field to enter the link into.

Thank you - although I'm not sure what you mean yet I'll have a look later - I'm off to work now!

Edit your post and click on the image and then click on the edit button or pencil. In the window that pops-up you'll see the "Link to" option.

I managed it in the end - thank you!

Any time

Hi all - I'm waiting to review another member's website (there are none available at the moment) and I was wondering - before I ask for a review of mine - should my website hav

Hi, Lynn, not to worry too much.
Just do the best you can and when you have the review, you can adjust or let it be depending on the reviews.
Allow me to share with you a quote from Napoleon Hill:
"...work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along."
We are all learning here.
Wishing you all the best.

Thank you for responding - and for the quote!

Lynn

Hi - adding visuals is covered in Level 2 lesson 6, so you are right on track at the moment. You can use this thread to give and receive feedback. If you would rather wait, then that's fine, don't let it hold up your training.

Thank you Diane!

What a great idea for a niche. I wonder if something as simple as 'I survived cancer' or 'How I survived Cancer', would work. Jim

Thank you for your input Jim - it's something for me to think about.

I think it's great to niche down from wigs and hair extensions in general to specific products for cancer patients. As a survivor you'll be able to relate to peoples pain, worries and needs. To take your personal experience and turn it into much needed help for others sounds amazing and empowering.

You'd be doing many people a great service. Only question I'd ask myself if I was a cancer survivor: would I want to spend my days writing and researching about it? For me, it would be a dilemma to either move on, focus on everything else in life and leave it behind me, or to use it as a force of power and help out as many other people as possible. But that's me :-)

I'm sure you'd have a lot to offer cancer patients who are scared about what's in their future and who want solid advice on everyday challenges. It sounds like a great niche to me.

It's really strange, but the day I was diagnosed, I wasn't upset at all and just saw it as something I had to go through. Even today, talking about it doesn't phase me. I didn't ever see it as something negative - actually, during that time I had a laugh through the treatments with my best friend who accompanied me and the nurses. My oncologist said he always knew when we were in my room ready for chemo because he could hear us laughing really loud behind the door!

My content will have serious subjects but also a bit of humour as well, because that's my personality.

Thank you for your input.

How beautiful not to be upset, but to go through it. I love that: humour is a great healer. Nothing is ever that serious that you can't see some humour in it. We've laughed the hardest in the worst of times. You and your friend sound like a great couple :-)

When my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, we all were surprisingly calm about it too. Because somehow our instincts told us, she'd be all right. And she was: she had a breast saving surgery and radiation. She didn't even need chemo. She just had pain from the radiation burns for a short time, but other than that, she felt fine.

Cancer has many faces with many personalities behind them. Giving your own spin to it, bringing your own personality... I think you've answered your own question about this being a good niche for you :-)
