Hi memebers, which plugins would anyone recommend for advertising jobs and services on a website?

Hey Lydia,

You may find it easier to look for a directory theme... or job listings.
See screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you Triblu, really appreciate your time.

Hi members, I need some help please, I have applied for google Adsense three times and it’s been declined.

Hey Lydia,

Not to worry, Google turns a LOT of us down without stating why.

Yes, Google did not like my personal blog (which gets a LOT of traffic), and now I actually now know they did me a favour as most sites that use Adsense, I leave once I see the ads as I do not believe those sites to offer credible information.

Clickbank offers a much better opportunity to make money online: Hope you find this helpful.

Many thanks Triblu

I have not come across this yet, but when you figure it out please share, as I would like to know for future reference.
Have a great day.

Hi - they usually give a reason. What did they say?

I would suggest looking further into the Adsense terms - determining what they do & don't accept and making sure your site meets their standards.

Simply applying & applying again won't give you greater chances of getting into their program if you are not making changes.

Then, once you've determined the changes you need to make - make them, and reapply again in the future.

Thanks Dale123, I will try to make the changes again.

Thanks

HI Lydia,

If you use our SiteContent writing platform here at WA, then you'll have access to Millions of images that you can safely add to your website.

Click on "Websites" from the main menu, then choose "SiteContent". Within the editor, clicking on the image icon will bring up the image search tool to find and add images.

Carson

Thanks Carson

Here you can find free sources for pictures and I made some videos for WA Bootcamp

Thanks Loes

Hey Lydia,

Here's a great way to find images for your content: Hope this helps you.

Thanks Triblu

In WA there is Site Content. In there, there is functionally to a database of over one million images you can use.

In YouTube, find a video you like and if the share option for it allows you to embed it, you can share it in your content. The video may have links etc to what the person who developed the video, so bear that in mind.

Thanks DynamicDavid

For images you can use sites like Unsplash, Pexel and Pixabay .. If you can find relevant videos on Youtube then don't be afraid to embed these onto you site. This could help with rankings too

Trust this helps

Thanks mcb247

Pleasure Lydia

Thanks smarketeer

How do you claim your website on Pinterest? I

Lots of good info here ...... But, If the idea of “Mucking around in The Code” causes your Migraine to go into OverDrive, just snivel a little bit, and some kind soul will jump to your rescue, and do it for you :-)

Just do your due diligence, and make sure the person mounting your site isn’t one of the Bad Guys

Regards

Joe

Pinterest say to add a meta tag or an html. It's very techy and I have no idea where to put it in my website backend. Anyone have a quick answer? I am apprehensive about messing with code and causing a problem.

you could try the training that i did for google verification but add the pinterest code instead have fun
phil

Do we actually have to verify Pinterest. What does it help with?

it helps with the fact that you have verified your site - and now can have offsite links to it easily.

add the pinterest verification code to the all in one seo general verification section and save
and should be good.
phil

Thank you feigner

Thank you

My pleasure

What is the best way to promote affiliate programs? Is it in-text or affiliate banners? Also how many affiliate banners can you add to your website?

It's a good idea to take advantage of any feature that will lead to more sales. Just don't fill your page with them. I usually have one on my posts.

Thank you so much for your help. Do you mean that on each post you add one affiliate banner?

It depends. I usually have it in the header or footer or side bar. Occasionally I’ll put one in an article directly.

You should leverage any potential avenue Lydia.

So yes, adding banners (too) to your site is always a good idea. Just don't add them into the above the fold area, because that could hurt your SEO ... Usually the sidebar is the best option

Thank you for your help but what do you mean by the above the fold area?
Also can I add an affiliate banner on my homepage?

Above the fold, as it applies to Web design, is the portion of a Web page that is visible in a browser window when the page first loads. The portion of the page that requires scrolling in order to see content is called "below the fold."

As I said, you can add it wherever you want

Thank you

You're welcome!
