I post to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and YouTube. I automate all of them, except YouTube, via Nelio Content. Blog2Social also works.
The title of your post was, "Do you need a social media posting calendar?"
Yes...you should! Not the same post to each media. Play it accordingly. Don't be a machine...be a person! Put it on the calendar!
Don't hit each platform if you can't be consistent. It's better to hit one or two hard than a bunch of them weak.
That depends on what your site is about. Is it MMO or a specialized niche. I am about to look at utilizing Hootsuite to post every blog from my site to my social media platforms. I up to now I have posted the photo's from each blog, usually one photo a Day, with a link to my website. Jim

Hi Lori, I post to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn every day as long as it is something new.
Just like to build a sort of connection between the social media sites and me as a person and my site.
