Day #1 was successful

Ok, it's almost 10 pm but I got my first days to do list finished with WA. Wahoo hooo for me. I wasn't motivated to do it when I finally had the chance after supper. That's for sure! I'm committed to follow through all the steps to success and I had to get tough and just DO IT!

It's been quite a long day. I spent almost 5 hours volunteering for the first time at a church center that has a food bank, thrift store and counseling program. They help people in the surrounding communities. My new friend and I cooked for 24 of the volunteers. Then we started cleaning and reorganizing the kitchen. It was just Ungodly!!! You can't put 2 OCD women in a messy, unorganized kitchen and not have some major upheaval. There is just too few volunteers and way too much to be done there. We have committed to cooking every other Monday mornings.

Now there is an ulterior motive here. That woman can COOK! She lived in Italy for a few years. I can learn so much from her. It's really sweet too because most of them are little old white haired ladies. They are just the bees knees. They help out mostly in the thrift store across town. I'm going to bring a cd in next time of some nice music they will enjoy and have it playing in the banquet hall while they eat.

Afterwards I was off to stop by the house and throw clothes in the dryer and washer, grab my soccer binder then off to the high school to meet with the sponsor for my daughters team. I'm in charge of fundraising this year. I'm the only parent who is helping out so far.

You must understand I know NOTHING about soccer or fundraising for the team. This is my first rodeo. I'm figuring it out as I go. The really fun part it's the sponsors first rodeo too. The coach is awesome though. It's his first year coaching them. Their coach died 2 years ago and the pe teacher coached last year. I'm trying to do what I can to help the girls soccer program get more momentum before my daughter graduates. Ive been researching online. if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Wish me luck!

As you have probably noticed I'm not afraid to sink my teeth into something new and do the very best I possibly can. That's my policy with WA as well. I figure I spent the last 6 years recovering from cancer and chemo so I've got some serious catching up to do. When I thought I was going to die I realized I wasn't afraid of dying but I was terrified of not having lived.

Wow you had a busy day! I'm so glad you're a survivor and enjoying life to the fullest. Just don't forget to breathe every once in a while. ;o)

Hey, congrats on all of your hard work, both online and off. Lots to learn here so make sure you follow the steps and work on content on your website. Welcome to WA btw.

Thanks Rick. I'll be finding time everyday to do the work required. I like to work hard and play hard. There's so much to learn, do, experience and enjoy!
