Hey, Troop!! That's when you eat a hoagie while working on your website.
God bless you, Grunt. Thank you so much for your service.
you are on a sub domain at the moment
can be used as a sub site for memberships
here, neil patel and others where you log into learn are all on subdomains - the main sites can be landing pages directing you to the sub domain.
they can be used for anything and they are free - a good way to get more sites, mini sites set up without too much cost.
you could link all of your mini sites to a domain to increase the authority within google and exposure on the net.
good luck with setting them up - exactly the same as a standard site.

A subdomain is a unique URL just like a normal domain however you need to had a root domain in order to use one.
I use subdomains for local businesses. I place their services on a subdomain to seperate this from their static home page and blog.
You could also use a subdomain if you had a membership plan attached to your main site. This would help make it easier to manage the two entities.

Good Morning
In the search bar at the top of your home page type in sub domains and hit search. Various references will show up. I believe there was one close the bottom that I used to find the answer. Good luck.

I was considering creating a online store to expand my internet portfolio. I heard that Shopify was a great place to start a store as they take care of all the basics for you.
I love the platform, don't feel restricted at all with design or development, and overall very happy. The downside is Shopify will almost always side with the buyer in a Chargeback dispute.. usually from my manufacturers not requiring signature when they ship.
I operate a $400K yearly sales revenue store, telling you not to brag but to justify my knowledge
I've also custom designed and built 20 plus other Shopify stores.
Feel free to ask me anything!!! Happy to help :)
Sarah, would you mind looking at my Shopify site at https://pksinternetstore.com ? I'm getting a lot of traffic but no one's buying. I'm wondering if I could do something better to get my conversions up. Thank you in advance.

Have you tried to do a mock purchase just to make sure all goes as it's supposed to? That seems to be the biggest issue in the Shopify groups I'm in. Make sure the checkout process goes smoothly.
I am interested in setting up a Shopify store on my travel website for travel gadgets. If you don't mind I will probably contact you for more information soon.
Thanks
Wayne
My issue is TIME. Money is never an issue... although we do have cash flow problems sometimes. How much time do you spend weekly managing your store?
I spend quite some time as I constantly update things as make sure all runs smoothly. If cash flow is not a problem you might want to consider getting a VA or somebody from up work to manage the more mundain stuff...I haven't done it yet as I'm too much of a control freak but I will have to do it eventually. I shave lots of friends in ecommerce and internet marketing that hired VAs that way.
I had an excellent experience with Shopify Kevin. Only challenge is the monthly fee. I built a Shopify online catalogue for a client. He quickly wanted to ad online purchasing and it was a simple flick of the switch. The Freight facility was also a simple process. I liked it.
I have a Shopify store, and enjoy it very much. I was almost started with Volusion, but they were very difficult to navigate through. I like Shopify much better.
Yes I noticed I got answers quickly when I ran into problems. They explained it clearly and solved them fast.
I asked a similar question only two days ago. I set up my Shopify store the day before yesterday under the 14 day free trial but my products are still in the developmental stages so I was advised by Shopify staff to "PAUSE" my store until I have my products ready. In that way, I won't be charged the fee asciociated with maintaining my eStore. Nevertheless, In the near future (VERY NEAR) future, Jay will be holding a Shopify webinar in which WA members can receive some very awesome tips! (Since all of Jay's training are awesome). Hopefully, you can receive some great advice too or hear about some great Shopify experiences.
Linda
Looking forward to the webinar too and i thinks it is a great step you are taking. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Richard, I think I am too! :) I have some great trending but original ideas that I can't wait to test out this year!
Yes, step by step is the exact way to move forward, onward and upwards! :) Thank you for the well wishes and I too, wish you all the best on your WA journey! :)
I just started setting up a Shopify store. It has been a good experience so far as they have videos and documents that walk you through nicely. Last night, I scheduled a 20 minute block for them to answer questions, but by the time they get to me I hope to have most figured out. At this point, I need to clarify the shipping costs as the margins will be lower than if you were doing everything yourself. If you are like me, and wan't more of a hands-free type of set up, it gives you the opportunity to work more on product creation and less on IT.
I think of it like an order & customer management software platform that oh yeah let's you have a website too!
The all in one convenience is key for me, and saves me my most valuable asset, TIME.
I have dropshipping physical good stores and print on demand t-shirts sites with them.
I put together a 'demo Shopify store' a few months back to help illustrate many of the optimizations and strategies that I enact.
Feel free to take a look, hope it helps you all:

thanks for sharing. Question: Did you do all the product descriptions or are they from the manufacturer?
Hey Kevin
I tried using Shopify to build an e-commerce store. The support with them is great. The problem is that I found the platform restricted in some ways.
I was unable to customize the product with additional features unless I purchase an app. The problem is that I could not try out the app as a trial before buying.
Anyways, to cut the long story short, I following the Word press route and starting building using a Siterubix site.
Boy, was things so much easier and I managed to build everything for FREE. The one thing that I paid for was a domain name which I bought via Site domain.
Hope this helps.

We use WordPress here. Just add WooCommerce plugin and voila you have a store.
Shopify has a similar interface but there is a learning curve to it just like wordpress. There are also features in the background to track sales. A business can work from just Shopify if you like.
I found the platform to be cumbersome and hard to get a good visual result.

I read that It’s important to use Google’s Structured Data Tool to ensure Google can identify your site. They said that this is what controls Google’s display
See what you mean Kevin, this tool is NOT so straight forward at offering tips to fix what Google claims as an error. Hmmmmm
Thanks Kevin for sharing. I haven't tried the tool yet but it sounds like it would be really useful.
Jerome
You know all those onpage errors and reports you see when you run a site speed test all went away when I switched to a premium theme. I guess better coding fixes these things up. I now get a 98% on pingdom.
Thought that was kind of interesting.
I believe you are right about that, I have been using free themes and the highest I have got was 90% on pingdom but I built a site for a friend and she bought a theme and it runs at 98%. Most of my sites tell me everything is great except in the plugin area and I get javascript messages that it needs compressing and other junk. When I looked into doing something about it, I found that what needs to be optimized is on my hosting side. So I think a free or cheap theme may create these issues.

With the new makeover of the Wealthy Affiliate platform, where can we go to see all the new members? The area on our profile page where we used to see them has been replaced w
Tried both Loes suggestions, those are who I am following and Mislam, those are Premium members.
Hello Mohamed, what you have their are members that have become New Premium members. What we are looking for are new members that have just joined WA.
It's now on top of your sidebar on your profile page under your profile picture, or click the light blue button on the right top
Giving it a second look, I think those are only the ones a person is currently following and not the new WA members. So far the only was I can find to locate new WA members is the Activity Dashboard. Not nearly as handy.

For the past couple weeks, I've been getting a string of sign-ups under my Wealthy Affiliate account, but they all just create an account and then there's no other interaction
I have about 130 ghosts. Out of them, I have had about 7 premiums. Some stayed about 6 months. Some less.
These ghosts are annoying.
they don't even give WA a chance beyond 5 minutes....
anyways, sometimes they CAN come back many months later, and they're still yours.
example, I had one come back after 7 months and went premium straight away...so it's not all bad.
the most important thing is this....since you're getting them through the doors at WA, something you're doing is right.
You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink....
My suggestion is make it thirsty first.
hey Kevin, adding a tracking link to your WA links now is very easy
unfortunately you may need to update the ones on your sites - so that will be a pain
go to your links and tracking area under the airplane symbol
click on the make cutom link
click on the tracking link
copy and paste your main affiliate link into the url box to track
add a name for the link - website-pagename
click save tracking link
this new link will appear in your list above
use this on the page
to see the stats
click at the end of the tracking link - stats
yoiu will be taken to the referral enterance details
this is where you will see which link your referral are coming from.
i hope this helps

hi kevin, do you use link tracking - is this not what it is for? each link to wa can be tracked so you can see exactly where your referrals have come from.
with this you are able to change the ones with no responses until you see responses.
