Getting closer to the training on making money.

There was a time when I dreamed that I could make a living playing guitar and performing. Eventually I discovered that very few people actually get to do that. Most of the people in New Zealand where I live who are very successful in the music industry also have day jobs. So I'd be happy making enough to be able to play whenever I feel like it, even if it was only to myself.

Being passionate about the guitar made it easy for me to pick my niche, which is Guitar Accessories. That gives me loads of scope to come up with products, as I told a friend today, could be anything from an earring to a guitar itself. There are an endless number of products that I can promote so it looks like I can have my cake and eat it too.

Of course that does mean I have to work hard and finding the balance between doing this and other distractions is sometimes a challenge because there are other things I like doing too. I guess the key is that the more I do of this, the more I will be able to do of other things later.

If you have a look at my LinkedIn profile (and do feel free to connect with me there too) you will see that my ambition from being a child was to help people. So I'm keen to help you here too as I help myself and watching the video about the Ambassador program, that's what its all about.

I'm really keen to get to the point where I have a few dollars coming in, so I need to get stuck in. I have been working on a few projects in the last year, while I have been off work (I am working part-time) waiting for back surgery. I began with Clickbank University and threw a lot of time and money at that, but the niche I picked on, I had to admit after a lot of work, that the market was so latent, that my chances of success were very limited.

So while I'm waiting for surgery and eventually getting back to work, I've been looking at various ideas. I have been in startups before, but I'm getting to old for that now. I can make this work, but the people around me have seen and heard me over the last year, talk about ideas I had for making an income that would keep going when I retire, but haven't seen any evidence.

So my biggest goal right now is proving to myself and to them that WA is going to help me bring in first some money, any money, preferably becoming consistent, even if it is a few dollars a week to start with. Then I'll be able to hold my head up and keep building and perhaps helping some other people along the way.

The one thing I have on my side is I am a reasonably good wordsmith and I have a lot of experience in social media and even a little in websites, which I haven't used for many years other than my regular blogs, which have never been about making money.

I think I had better stop here before this turns into waffle, if that's the right word. I'm here to help and be helped and hopefully we can all achieve our goals. Bottom line for me is I don't need money right now, insurance is covering my income, but my job won't stay open for ever and if my employer decides that I'm not needed anymore, I can start generating an income pretty quickly, without having to look for another job, which gets harder and harder as you grow older.

I hope to see you at the top:)

This is great for all of us who are slow on the start button but still, want to achieve the gift that our life-cycle will let us have and what we ourself will cherish.

It looks like you and I are in similar boats.

I'm not waiting for surgery, but I Have had physical health issues for a while now. I am an herbalist, so I self-treat. At some point, I am going to have to have tests done so I can get a definitive read on exactly what I need to be treating myself for.

I just hate being prodded and poked.

I don't have insurance covering my income right now, so I pick up side-gigs. That's the niche for my first site: work from home jobs, gigs, and biz-opps.

My dream is to be paid for writing. I am, as you put it, a Wordsmith, as well. It makes blogging here and on my page, a whole lot more engaging than listening to people whine about their cell.cable/health club bill and why they can't pay it and why I should make an exception for them...
That's what 25 years in customer service will do to you. I really hate being on the phone.
So your WA life is going along rather well and I wish you lots of luck and success.
Keep going, keep writing, and hey, even make a few videos of you playing your favorite guitar.

You never know what might come of that.

Take care,

Gwendolyn J

Thanks Gwendolyn. Hopefully you will be able to get an idea of what you need to treat yourself for, I am in remission from cancer and ate everything from tumeric to ocean cucumbers. I don't know how much they helped, but I hear so often that gut health is one of the most important things, even if I don't understand it that much.

I hear you about customer service. I started my career in telecommunications taking calls from people whose phones weren't working. Taking complaints all day every day wasn't easy.

It's nice to meet a kindred spirit and I really appreciate you commenting on my blog.

I do have some videos, including one on my latest post. https://guitarlove.siterubix.com/spidercapo-for-your-guitar/

I look forward to networking with you:)
