Hi Lynn, I was in quite the same situation as you before. I think you should continue to put more content into your website first and try to get some ranking and traffic before putting affiliate links. Let your website age a bit more.
Just my 2 cents. Other members may have different perspectives so good to hear from more people.
I think you are right! This is what I'm starting to figure out! I really appreciate you sharing your experience! That's what I was hoping to get. I'm going to just concentrate on content right now and worry about affiliates later!
Thanks!!

Applying to affiliate programs too soon?

Hi - most affiliate programs will inspect your website prior to approval and will expect to see enough content capable of attracting traffic, at least 15 posts.
At this stage, you should concentrate on adding purely informational content with no selling intent. If you were to start writing reviews, you may struggle with finding images, as it is difficult to find copyright-free photos of branded products.
Once you have been approved for an affiliate program they will supply the images.
Thank you! This is what I was trying to figure out! This is good advice. I will concentrate on really bulking out my content for now and then work on the affiliates later.
Thanks!

When you have at least 10 to 15 posts and some traffic to show for if you wee to apply for Amazon, and more perhaps 20 to 30 for other programs -- as they would want to check your site for relevance and traffic.
You should be adding content 2 - 3 posts a week for the foreseeable future.
Ok-thanks Abie! This is what I was trying to figure out. This is good advice. I will concentrate on really bulking up the content and then apply to some affiliates.

HI, like you stated if you are not affiliated yet, then no.
And when you are, I'd use whatever material they provide me. For example WA provide us banners to use in addition to our links.
Ok-thanks! For now, I will just leave everything unlinked and just concentrate on the content and images themselves.
Thanks again Abie!

Can we use them for our posts? I think yes, but would like confirmation. Also, do you credit where it came from or the author? Again, I would think yes, but would like other
It would probably be best to use the images from wealthy affiliate since there are thousands and thousands of them
I found below links may be of further help Can I use images from pinterest? Can you use images from pinterest? Can you use images from pinterest on your website?
If they are copyrighted I would be very wary, best seek images via canva or free image sites.
You can repin for sure. But again I wouldn't go repining everything, I want to know who the other party is and what effect/impact they have on my business.
Thanks Abie! I've been combing through Pintrest's terms and services to see if things are copyrighted. I know the free sites are always better.
