Pearls To Share - Day 7
Just as avocados are healthy food our bodies, awareness and introspection is healthy for our minds, spirits and businesses. A bit belated but I am back with Pearls To Share - Day 7
Why Quotes Matter
Quotes irritate and annoy some people, for me though, they are pearls surrounding us. I have a tricky time choosing which one to focus on because there are so many great quotes around.
Here are Just a few (with apologies to those who are irritated by quotes :-)):
- "Everyone enjoys being inspired. But here's the truth when it comes to personal growth: Motivation Gets You Going, But Discipline Keeps You Going." John C. Maxwell.
- "Your Daily Disciplines Determine Your Future." Jeffrey Lestz
- "It’s supposed to be hard to be a winner. If it wasn’t hard everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it all worth it." Tom Hanks, A League of their own
If we allow it, quotes can make us more aware and encourage us to be introspective - taking the time to be still and think assists us with both awareness and introspection. On that back of that, we can see things differently, stretch out of our comfort zones and grow. How much better will our relationships be given the time to think, feel and appreciate what we have. How much better will our businesses be if we create the opportunity to open our minds and think differently about what we are doing.
Every one of these quotes touches a nerve in me and give me the "go-go juice" I need for the day, and probably beyond today if I keep them in mind. How about you?
Words Are Powerful
I had to throw a bit of humour in - did you notice?
Just glance through the two images above, read the words and take a bit of time to notice how they make you feel. I felt it in my belly, my mind and in my throat - a physical reaction, unnoticed by anyone around me - until I take action. These words do stir me, they make me want to go out and offer the world what I have to give.

Pearls To Share - Day 7
There are many pearls in this short blog, I am not even sure which of them to make the Pearls To Share for Day 7. Actually, I feel the need to write another paragraph to round this off ...
It all starts with us, with our thoughts, what we focus on and how we manage our time. This is not about the time we allocate to what we need to get done, to daily tasks, it is the time we take for ourselves so that we can be mindful. That way the days will not run away with us, our relationships will not go unnoticed and unappreciated, our lives will be fuller and our businesses more purposeful - and dare I say it - more successful too.

I think you know what you're talking about when you talk about getting out of our comfort zone. You are for me the very example of the crysalid becoming a magnificent butterfly. You have become much more confident in the way you write and manage your business. You gained confidence when you left your comfort zone to move towards your goals.
