Pearls To Share - Day 2

Yesterday I decided to get back into the daily blogging habit and share the first of Pearls To Share. As you will see in Day 1, I am sharing pearls I find in books I read daily. In some ways this makes me feel like a fraud because I am taking ideas from somewhere else to write my daily blog. My intentions are, one (selfishly) to get myself back into the healthy habit of blogging daily by sharing in the wonderful WA community; two to reiterate to myself what the lesson for the day is; and three, to bring value to the community with what I am learning. Surely that is not fraud - or am i just making myself feel better? I'd love to hear your take on that, be gentle with me please, I am a "sensitive viewer", lol. So let's get into it, Pearls To Share - Day 2.

I've decided to indicate my writing in normal text and quotes in italics, for ease of reference - hope this helps too.

Attitude

There are so many attitude quotes that come to mind, "your attitude determines your altitude" is just one of them. No doubt we all have attitude quotes to draw on from memory. Problem with quotes is that they can become powerless if we allow them to.

The truth is that we can set our intentions for the day, visualize our business and future, creating an amazing start to the day. Our plans may be noble with amazing intentions to produce incredible work and value to share - but.... done with a bad attitude, they will surely crash and burn.

Those are all my thoughts. What does Daily Wisdom For Leaders say?

"The Right Attitude Comes First". Today a passage was referenced where there were two different opinions. The first was "we are able to overcome it" and the second was "we are not able to go up against the people, they are stronger than we".

Same set of circumstances, two different opinions and attitudes.

We have the exact same situation with our online businesses. Someone like JerryHuang, Roope or LittleMama or Nathaniel (and many others) takes the first approach. They are playing in the same online business territory as we are - and they are succeeding.

How about us? Are we saying that we cannot go up against stronger competition? Online businesses and entrepreneurs who have more experience and are more established than we are? Or do we accept the challenge that there is competition and see the opportunity of building our online business with our unique personalities, talents and abilities, and finding "our tribe" (or target market)?

No one has the same finger print as anyone else, we are all absolutely unique. Though we may be sharing the same business opportunity, service or product, our delivery and messaging will be unique to us. Keeping that in mind, we can rest assured that we will reach people in the target market that our competitors will not. Why? Simply because our messaging, our personality, traits and so on, will resonate with our target market.

I will share a simple example of what I do to "set myself apart" - I sign off all my blogs and messages with the word "Blessings". This is for multiple reasons, allow me to share:

  1. For people to know that I am a believer (part of attracting my tribe)
  2. I want the people with unwholesome intentions to know upfront that I am not up for "that game" (this is not foolproof by the way, I have still had some interesting approaches)
  3. I really do wish good things (blessings) on and for others (yeah, you too ;-)

What Else Does Daily Wisdom Say?

"Our attitude

  • determines our approach to life
  • determines our relationships with people
  • is often the only difference between success and failure
  • at the beginning of a task will affect its outcome
  • can turn problems into blessings
  • is not automatically good just because of what we believe in"

If we take the above list onboard we can see very clearly how powerful our attitudes are.

What Is Your Attitude Today?

Are you on a mission today? I love this image, it reminds me of a Vision Board and contains so much positivity and great energy! Maybe you need to create something like this to remind you of what you are on a mission to.

I have more than one Vision Board and at a glance I am reminded of my "why" which gives me exactly the AAK I need at time (attitude adjustment klap, Afrikaans word for slap).

Go on, admit it, you also need an AAK from time to time too, lol!

In Closing

I doubt you learned anything new today, we all intrinsically know that our attitude really does affect everything. Perhaps Pearls To Share - Day 2 is more of a reminder than an opportunity to learn something new.

Either way, I would love to hear your views. Go on, share with me in the comments below.

Blessings always
