Louise , excellent post , i learn so much about the land of ancestors that is never taught in school nor hear on the mainstream media , this is top class bloggin , so how did they not tell us that there is more pyramid in Sudan than in Egypt , i will definitely seek more info on this, thanks Louise excelent post
Hi Hentley
I was also surprised by the pyramids in Sudan - I guess that's also because Sudan does not market them as profusely as Egypt does. What an amazing tourist attraction that could be!
You'll need to get your travel boots on and spend some time in Africa :-) It's not far by road if you decided to travel from the top of Africa to the tip :-) Make sure you have great backups in place (vehicle, food, water, security and more), as Dennis Beckitt (a SA journalist) says "Africa is not for sissies" hahaha! I would love to travel up through Africa by road and document it, not sure I am brave enough though, lol!

Very valuable information indeed. I am an African, born and bred in Zimbabwe but working in Namibia which is in the southern part of Africa. I love Africa my motherland! It does not matter where I go, I find myself missing home. I miss the people, the food, the culture and the natural environment. When I visit countries in Europe or America and find they have zoos with African animals, I always have the feeling of saying "Why don't you come to Africa and see them in their natural environments and also listen to the Africans tell stories about this animals?"
Africa has many many beautiful places and cultures! The traditional dresses and colors are amazing!
I can go on non-stop about Africa! But this does not say all is well in Africa, there is wars, diseases and political unrest as well. People are migrating from their countries and Africa because they are looking for ways to make end meet and raise families.
Very well said. Big hugs to you my fellow Zimbo.
Come to Africa, everyone! :-)

A very happy Africa day to you Louise and all Africans!
Sadly, I have only visited some of the continents northern countries, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt. But would love to explore more of this exciting and interesting continent.
Have a fantastic day my friend!
Hi Nick
Thank you so much.
I would love to visit the northern African countries too, they may be a bit more challenging for me as a woman. Then again, I may be very pleasantly surprised.
Blessings

I sincerely hope that things have improved in Northern Africa now.
The last time we went was about 10 years ago, I loved the sights, but unfortunately was shocked by the treatment my wife and her sister received whilst we were there.
My sincerest apologies to anyone reading this who is from North Africa, but this is truly what we experienced.
Take care my friend!!
Hi Nick
We can only hope - the world with all the different cultures and beliefs certainly is an interesting place.
Thanks for sharing.
