For Lack Of Vision My People Perish
If a book as old as the hills speaks about people dying from a lack of vision, surely this is something we should be taking seriously? Yes, "For Lack Of Vision My People Perish" comes from Proverbs 29:18. I am abiding by the WA rules and not writing a religious blog, please bear with me, this is merely a truth that happens to come from the Bible and many, many people of different persuasions adhere to it.
VISION IS EVERYTHING
Napoleon Hill said this "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve." He knew it and we know it instinctively, intuitively. Life, unfortunately, can have a way of knocking the stuffing out of us though, and through that process, we lose the ability, or desire to hope, to believe, to have a vision. Once we have been disappointed, once, twice, thrice or more, it becomes easier not to have expectations of anything good.
And so the proverb proves true, little by little we perish. We don't do it intentionally because we want to die, we don't do it because we don't have dreams. We do it because it is perceived as a safer option. We do it to protect ourselves, to survive. Here is the irony, because that is all we do - we survive! Some only barely survive.
Safety is an Illusion
That is right, safety is indeed an illusion. Just because the light is green for you to walk, it doesn't mean a car will stop.
The same is true for everyday life, we can keep our eyes low, not confront the world, and yet, the world will likely confront us.
What is the Alternative?
Be Fearless! Be Brave! Be Courageous!
Know that you have what it takes to manage any situation life throws at you.
You were made for a season such as this!
You were made for a purpose, with a passion deep inside your heart (some of us have to dig deeper to find it, but it's there!)
Take the bull by the horns and live!
Maybe this is the nudge to get you moving forward. Baby steps first ....
Or maybe, just maybe, you are ready to take that GIGANTIC LEAP!
Whichever it is, move forward - a baby step, a gigantic leap, it matters not. Forward is forward!
What are you waiting for? You have an incredible community supporting you, success surrounds you, training to prepare you, a heart that is still beating.
Let's do this thing called LIFE! Starting TODAY!
