if you can find the header.php in your theme
then paste it EXACTLY with no spaces just above the final <head>
you should see lots of code,
codecodecode>
<head>
<body>
paste is at end of code and above <head>
then save
I tried what you said. It didn't work quite that easily, but your suggestion gave me courage to get started--I'm always afraid to mess with the code! Then, through trial and error, I got it! Thanks so much!!

I would save it in a folder of your website, that is the easiest.
Maybe you can take the uploads folder and put the document there.
(There other options also, but I would take the uploads folder)
You can connect with FTP (FileZilla) to your site and you will find the images in the folder /wp-content/uploads/2015/10/ for example.
