I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times, but wondering what the difference is between being Ranked and Indexed in Google?
Question asked and correct answers given. Well done my friends.

I was going to explain, Lon, but it looks like you've gotten some good answers below, my friend! Congrats on being indexed!
the first process is being indexed. This is when Google realizes that you have a website. They find the website by sending out little pieces of software called bots. When they index it theoretically your contact could be on page 43,291.
The second part of the process is ranking and that means that when you add more content Google gives at least one of your pages a rank. Page rank means that you're found on that page in Google. So, for instance, Google page 11 means you're in the top five.
The way to get indexed is to submit a site map the way to get rent is to add more quality content. It is important you understand your keyword research and really nailed the problems in your niche. Once you start writing to these problems then ranking becomes easier.
Hope this makes it clear
Hi - being indexed means that Google has found your website or post, and it is now in its search engine.
Following on from that, each post is ranked individually. This is when Google has decided which page to put it on, with your goal being to try and get it on the 1st page, to attract more visitors.
