Grammarly. You Will Thank Yourself

Last Update: July 09, 2019

Hey everyone at WA. I hope you all are having a great day. I just wanted to cover something that could help all of us with our content. This tip is mainly for the newer members out there. I'm sure most of you pro's already know all about it and why it's a must-have tool!

Grammarly! - What Is It?

Grammarly is only the best tool out there to help correct your spelling and grammar. It integrates well with ANY platform on ANY OS and will make your text clear and mostly error-free.

Grammarly can be downloaded as a standalone app for those of you out there that use windows and mac. There is a Grammarly keyboard for android and possibly iPhone (not sure on that one I don't have an iPhone and I'm to lazy to look it up at the moment). But my personal option and the option you Linux users like myself out there will have to use if you want it is their google chrome plugin.

How It Works.

I'm going to be focusing on the google chrome plugin mostly here but if you have the standalone app everything I'm about to cover applies to you as well and on everything not just your web browser.

Grammarly will read everything you type. Email's, blog post, even your comments on someone's site and live chat input. It then highlights all grammar and spelling issues it finds. This allows you to mouse over the word and see ways that you can fix it.

I know most of you out there are thinking. doesn't WA already have a grammar checking thing built into its content writer? Yes, yes it does. But it's nowhere as good as Grammarly. If you want to to that extra step. I know I do. I run the check on WA first. After its complete I run a Grammarly check. With both combined your golden!

Once you finish going through your text and fixing the things that Grammarly points out you can also click the little G symbol that appears at the end of your text. This will allow you to open the text up in the Grammarly editor. Which in turn adds even more to the experience by showing you words that you can remove to make the text more clear and readable. Among other options.

It Rates Your Writing Too!

In the Grammarly editor overview that you open your text up in. you can also see in the upper right corner your overall writing score for this block of text. It, in turn, breaks this info down into how readable and clear it is. the user of unique words. Etc. This is great information to have as a writer to help improve your writing.

It gets better!

They Have An Affiliate Program Too!

yep, that's right. you can review Grammarly and push people over to it and you can get paid for it as well on your websites. This is because Grammarly offers a pro version as well that helps correct even more issues and really pushes your writing to the next level.

However, It's not necessary to upgrade to the pro version. I'm happy with the free version. However, as my site grows and my traffic picks up and I start making a little extra money This is something I would definitely consider purchasing to help take my site to the next level.

Thanks For Your Time.

As always I pray for each and every one of you and your success. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read my little rant on this amazing little tool I discovered with the help of some other members here in WA. I hope it helps you all as much as its helping me. Have a great day everyone.

Side note. There are a few issues with Grammarly and JavaScript things. like the blog writer popup here on WA. which stops the editor from working like intended. For these, I just write them in the Grammarly page and paste them over here. But It does work 100% on WordPress.

I do too. I just installed their keyboard on android too. The only issue I have with the android app is the lack of swipe text. It's my favorite feature of the Google keyboard and makes typing on Android a lot faster.
