Vimeo is different than Youtube!
Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes it is against you.
For the Super Affiliate Challenge, we got as assignment to open a Vimeo account. That can only be a premium account, because the Super affiliate Challenge is promoting WA.
When you publish videos on Vimeo, be sure that you are not promoting any business, they tell you to upgrade and if you don't your account will be suspended.
I thought that my video wasn't a business video, they decided otherwise.
40 ways for students to make money
I have had email contact with them, back and forward, but nevertheless, my account was suspended.
Publishing on YouTube is quite different than on Vimeo.
Well, I won't try again, I am not willing to pay for the premium membership.

Vimeo must be quite staunch about enforcing their publishing guidelines Loes, I guess when they view folks as businesses there is no room for leeway. Youtube is free at this stage and easier to live with. Thank you for the updating.
Apside from any monetary benefits which I don't know anything about, I'm afraid I don't like vimeo videos and usually avoid them if I can. From a viewer's point of view hey seem more 'fussy' and particular. Unless there's a benefit for marketers, I'll stick to YT.

Vimeo has no chat where I can spend hours of my spare time there, nor a forum where I spam on my own terms all the rules and regulations advising new paying members to lawyer up and get accountants... no where for me to tell people about what I had for dinner.....or to post the same photos over and over and over again. I exist to assist..and I can't express that on Vimeo therefore I don't use it!
When you have a video on YouTube there's an added advantage in that people go to YouTube to search for videos. It's the second biggest search engine in the world (after only Google).
I watched your video and clicked on "Like" :)
Yes Loes, Vimeo is a platform mainly about the pro film-makers so they want to charge the average person at any chance they can.
You are right Loes: "Well, I won't try again, I am not willing to pay for the premium membership."
Why should you pay them for helping "their website" to have content. They need "users generated content", we don't need them :)
Thanks Vinh, I think so too, that's why I never buy clothing with logo's on it, they should pay me for that:)
