The fastest way to achieve your goal

Last Update: April 03, 2015

The fastest way to achieve your goal is to change your attitude.

1. Stop watching television! It's a time eater and will not earn any money.

2. Take your business serious, make a commitment to yourself to work every day a set time.

3. You are entrepreneur now, and real starting entrepreneurs work until the late hours and all weekends the first few years, until there business is from the ground and running.

Success!

Thanks for sharing, Loes.

I gave TV up a long time ago and it only goes on at the weekend when I watch a DVD as a treat to reward myslef for hard work.

I call it an "Income Reducing Machine" for people who like to procrastinate, lol.

Nope, I need help with #2. Because I'm retired, people think I don't have anything to do. Many don't understand the time and effort it takes to do something like this. It has to be a balance of WA and other things you're asked to participate in.
Reply

Debbie - If you are working from home you are not retired. I have educated my family to not interrupt my working day unless it is an emergency
Reply
Sui_generis Premium
I guess I need to educate my family and friends. I do like helping and giving back but .................

Don't we all - you don't have to be rude about it, I just said to mine I am earning a full time living I work from upstairs rather than going out to commute, but I do work nonetheless. You would not dream of asking me to go for your dry cleaning if I was in an office so don't ask me now.
If you need help ask beforehand and we can work out a schedule. If its an emergency then knock my door down

I even turned off the TV, but I've also learned that it is not a good idea to work out of your wits, you run the risk in many cases to burn off what you're passionate about.
A good entrepreneur project should be fun and exciting. We are researching just like people.
So my advice is to find a balance so that you keep time to the project and have fun with it

Thanks Loes! Great info. Number 1 is my problem. After working and being a "good girl" doing everything I "should" I sit down and start to look at TV. But I have improved the last three months.

As a single mother, I'm used to work late at night. I have the opportunity to work 10 hours at home. So I'm used to be working late at night. Now I only have to work with my business too... Wish I had a few hours more every day :)
Reply
Loes Premium
Skip the TV and you have a few more hours:))

Couldn't agree you more. To succeed in the online business, one must treat the business like a business, and not simply play the fool :-)
Treat it like a part time business, then it will always be part time. My online business is currently a part time for now but I sure treat it like a serious business ;-)
Reply
Loes Premium
My pleasure, Dominic, and yes I hope you find the time to treat it as a fulltime business soon

Hi Loes:

Love that! Great advice. Like what I blogged about my being a "lucky" fisherman. Always fishing when I wasn't working. I gained knowledge on how to catch them, and even though there were more fruitless days than fishy days, my family ate fresh fish 3-4 days a week! Thanks for your advice! I am excited!
Best to you

So true. I set up a scheduled time I'm at my desk in the morning and when I stop working at my desk. After that, I sit in my living room and work several more hours doing training, responding to WA etc.

I've violated all 3 unfortunately and have been suffering with a relapse of a severe pinched nerve as of late. As the pain subsides, I have to increase my dedication again. Hopefully that will be in the coming week as my physical therapist untangles the nerves. Thanks Loes for the reminder.
