I have started to place links to words on my latest post. I don't know if it's good or bad, but I am trying this out, to see whether it convert better.

Google

Google likes to see links to other websites. I have added direct external links on this post, a couple of no-follow pretty links and some internal links to other posts.

This is how I did it:

The Pretty Link Lite Plugin covers up the affiliate links, and I can add a no-follow to the link. I hope Google accepts that as an internal link.

I hope to receive more clicks and sales this way.

Can you tell me, how is your strategy, and what do you think about this way of linking? Is it the right way? Is this too much? I am really curious about your oppinion.

Interested to see how this works out.

I am curious too, I have just published the post, still have to share it on Social Media:)

Yes you are doing it the right way. Too much link? Maybe.
I try to limit mine to 3 per post. But hey if it works for you I will definitely follow.
Maybe not all in one spot?
Good luck and give us an update please.
Thanks!

I don't know if it will work, I still have the post in draft

thanks for the illustrated post, very interesting and helpful. pls update us on how well it works

I will publish it soon:)

Thank you Loes - this is going to be very handy for links that are often used and to easily send people to.
Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Yes, it is, I often use the same links

I think you are wasting your time with this pretty-linking Loes, As soon as the visitor clicks, the whole ugly link is shown as it is. I have never used it and have never used nofollow for such links and the ranking is excellent.

Hi Jovo, thank you, it's an advice by Kyle in the certification course, and I think it saves time, a lot of links I use frequently, and they are easy to remember

Do you seriously think that anybody will remember a url?

How can it save time when you invest time to make it pretty? Just do not do this and this will save the time. Anyway, you asked for an opinion, this was mine.

When I add a URL from pretty link which I use often it pops up right after https.... in the dropdown, and I can click it, I don't have to go and fetch the affiliate link again.
All my links of Bol.com start with bol+product
In the search box of pretty link I fill in Bol and I get the whole collection ready to use, I think it's a time saver

Yes it may look so the way you are using the pretty-thing; I am saying you do not need it in the first place. This is archaic, useless, and it is strange this lesson is still in the Courses. There is no way this trivial tool can cheat the biggest search engine on the planet.

Amazon does not allow pretty-linking; they have their own way of doing it.

As for no-follow, if I remember Amazon does not allow it (or Google for Amazon link, or both, forgot details) in any case I have never used it and my sites are full of Amazon links. Check also with the Bol, it may be against their rules.

Hey Big Loes,
You always come up with new ideas and findings. How on earth could you do that as a strategy with hidden links through Pretty Link Plugin and all that blah.blah...

Sounds amazing if one can tailor your techniques.

Add a tutorial describing the simple step for newbies here either with the 1st or 2nd topic.

Cheers!

I could, but I am not sure whether it's the correct advice.

Hi, can you please explain what adding a 'no follow' means? Thanks :)

Under your post, you use it for the privacy policy and the affiliate disclaimer.

When you create links through the pretty link lite plugin, the plugin supplies that option too.

On the image, you can see the target link - affiliate ID
The link made by myself as a pretty looking link
And the box you can check for the no-follow

Thanks so much Loes :)

It looks good to me the way you mapped your links

Thanks:)

I always add links to Words and sentences and my theme highlights them in my theme colour too. Never thought about using pretty links and no follow to the links to fool google though.
That’s a good idea but I think I have a balance between affiliate links, external links and internal links in my posts so that they won’t condemn me too much.
Maybe I will try it to see if it increases my ranking though.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

Thanks, I only used this thus far for internal and external linking, not to sales pages.

Loes, I am not an expert and I have not sold anything yet.
I can only tell you what my impression is as a normal visitor.
Personally, I think there are a lot of links. I do not think I would click on all of them to read the information.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Thanks, most links on this post lead to extra information and/or the site where students can start making money.

Then perhaps I should start reading it!
The day is coming closer, we are both really looking forward to our trip

Hasta muy Pronto, Taetske

We are looking forward to our meeting too Teatske:))
