Hi,
Can anyone tell me why our WA Affiliate Commissions are all pending since The middle of august, please?
This is what I mean see the image below.
The green are pending payments and the dark one is approved.
Maybe, But I don't think so because the recurring payment has been from a member here since January and this has never happened before.
Maybe Kyle or Carson will have the answer!

Has the wa affiliate commissions changed?
Hi,
Can anyone tell me why our WA Affiliate Commissions are all pending since The middle of august, please?
Hi Lisa,
We implemented a short period of time where commissions will be pending to help fight fraud and gaming of the system. Commissions are pending for 30 days at which time they will automatically switch to "Approved". This only affects folks whom have received less than 3 payments. Once you've received 3 payments from us then you'll not be subject to any pending periods at all.
Most folks will not see any change at all and will have commissions approved as normal, but this 3x pay period timeframe was implemented to ensure that payments are not fraudulent for 30 days.
So, just to be clear - any pending commissions will move to "Approved" after 30 days as long as the payment is in good standing. After you've received 3x payments by us, you'll not have any pending period.
We have a note about this in all commission emails as well.
Happy to discuss further if you have questions :)
Carson
No worries Lisa,
Unfortunately there is a small % of bad transactions on the internet and we're just working to fight as hard as we can against allowing bad actors to benefit from stealing credit cards and hurting unsuspecting folks.

Hi Lisa,
ok maybe the link that I send you is not
's easy, but has a lot of info, and some free plugins directly from WordPress developers
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/add_image_size/
Also, I send you a youtube link in a private message,
My friend, hope is of help to you.
Have a great day

Hi Lisa,
I might recommend: GIMP if you want free and just
a small learning curve.
I'm not allowed to give you the link so just do a search on
Youtube: how to make thumbnails.
This is a youtube link with a small video showing how
to make a youtube thumbnail.
Gimp is very powerful and as I said FREE.
Good Luck!
Phil J
why are you not allowed to add the link Phil....
if there is no affiliate link in it then it is fine to link to outside training....
phil
i agree with not promoting your domain...
but your link would be to youtube....so no problem....
I appreciate your input but that is not what Wealthy Affiliate says.
When you type in the domain specific link a warning box is issued with bold red letters. It doesn't say anything about whether it is an affiliate link or otherwise.
For me the link would be benign but I don't wish to anger the Gods.
Phil
if it includes a ? then it is flagged as possibly containing a query which can make it insecure or have an affiliate link...
but you can change the ? to be & # 63...which then replaces the ? (take out the spaces to be recognized as a ?)
Just send the link in a private message, as many as you want
that's why we do have the private message area:)
have a great day

Hi Lisa, I am glad you are not giving up and working on analyzing issues to solve them. FYI, I really like EWWW Image Optimizer plugin. Its done automatically thats what I like when about it when I upload a jpg or png image in WP. The automatic optimizer is best for a non-photo nerd. I know nothing about how to change sizes or anything. That plugin does its work. I not tried any other image plugin like WP Rocket or Optimole. I did use Kraken but I couldn't figure it out. If its too hard, I don't bother with it.
Hi, Lisa
I use a method similar to Phil’s.
Google may be objecting to your image formats due to load time or because they negatively affect the user's visual experience on a mobile device or both.
I define the size (dimensionally and file size in KB) of each image in Canva Pro when I am creating them.
Whenever possible, I use the jpg graphic format or png when the graphic is very simple (like a chart) or can't be viewed clearly in jpg. This will save you disk space and load time. I don't use the webp format because it seems to lose optical clarity, especially on a low-resolution screen.
If an image is too big, file-size-wise, in Canva Pro, I will scale down the resolution without changing the aspect ratio.
For example, if I have a jpg image with a file size that is too large in a resolution of 640 wide by 400 high, I can scale the image down to half that resolution (320 by 200) without changing its aspect ratio and get a file size that's a lot smaller than half the original size in KB due to the way images are created with Canva Pro's digital compression algorithms.
None of my images are ever brought into the media library in MB file size. They are always in KB size. They get compressed a second time in the media library by a WordPress plugin like Kraken.
You can also crop the image in size or reduce its resolution in the Media Library or after you place it in the Block Editor.
I probably included a little more info than you were looking for, but I want you to have a reasonably complete understanding of what I am talking about.
Hope this helps,
Frank
Thank you, Frank.
It all sounds double dutch to me.
When I create an image in Canva I download it in jpg and change the size from 1 to 0.5 and make the file size medium.
Then in WordPress, I sometimes make the image smaller using the sizing in the block editor.
But core web vitals in the Search Console is saying 68 pages are slow and WP Rocket says the Height and Width are not set.
To be honest I don't have a clue what I'm doing :-)
Hi, Lisa
I wouldn't think of file size qualitatively. Although 0.5 is half as big as 1.0, what's your actual file size in KB and resolution (image width and height in pixels)?
For example, if you have an image that is 6,000 X 4,000 pixels (exaggerated to make a point), downloading the image from Canva at "medium" = 0.5 will still give you an image too large for your website and too big in file size.
So, look at the actual numbers. What are your typical downloaded image file sizes before uploading them to the media library (10KB, 100KB, 1MB)? How about their actual width & height?
I use WP Rocket, and I'm not getting that error. Make sure you have all the settings optimized for your website. Once you do, everything works great!
Perhaps another plugin is adversely affecting WP Rocket. Are you using a separate CDN (content delivery network) plugin? If you're not using WP Rocket's CDN (RocketCDN), this may be causing your problem.
I would open a ticket with WP Rocket support and explain the problem to them (Height and Width are not set). You can also have WA Site Support take a look at your site to see if they have any recommendations.
Continue troubleshooting everything in a systematic fashion and you will find the problem.
Frank
Hi Lisa
What apps do you have for the purpose.
If none then I'll explain how to resize images for free online.
:-)
Richard
Hi, Lisa, yes, there is a way: Tinypng, it's free and not a plugin.
Google Tinypng and you should see this (Image 1):
Click on the link (arrowed) and you should see this (Image 2):
Now you need to upload your chosen image where indicated (arrowed}. Just make sure you have resized it to the desired size (that way you optimize it even further).
Once your image has been optimized you should see this (Image 3):
You now need to download the optimized image where indicated (arrowed) to wherever you store your images.
Now an example of why you need to resize your image before optimization. I used a smiley face (Image 4) which was originally 640x640 pixels, 57KB. I resized that to 150x150 pixels, reducing it to 18.2KB. After optimization this was further reduced to 2.6KB. One hell of a saving from 57KB!
I hope this helps, if I can help any further, give me a shout. Best wishes.

I want to do some guest posting what is the best way to contact people, please?
Hi Lisa, Are you looking to guest post yourself? or are you trying to find others to guest post on your sites?
Try a website called helpablogger.com I've started using this had one person reach out so far to guest post.
Otherwise, I have found that people have just gotten hold of me by email. I haven't really looked at guest posting for others but I think if you use ubersuggest you can find out who your competitors are and you can contact them about guest posting. I heard it is good because it gets a backlink on other sites that are possibly outranking you. Something like that I don't understand fully.
Also if you are looking to guest post I am always looking for guest posters if you want to post on any of my websites.
The following blog may be of help. Build Your Brand - Become A Guest Blogger . It has some good links in it.
My guess is to sign up with Fiverr if you need someone to guest post for you but, if you want to contribute as a guest blogger then sign up with Fiverr
Because I was thinking about hiring some writers down the line if I need assistant writers, hope this helps.
Hi - I wouldn't recommend using Fiverr if you wish to hire a writer. The quality of the cheapest writers is very poor, and you will end up having to edit all the errors.
They have even been known to send copied and pasted material, which of course, you can't use. Realistically a good quality writer who understands how to write optimized content for your website would cost a minimum of $50 for just one post of 1000 words.
Good to know, I saw a quite a few writers that world charge $5 now I know why they charge this much.I will look elsewhere, thanks for the heads up appreciate it
If incoming, I would do my due diligence, are they acting on their behalf or is it through an agency. If sounds too good to be true I walk away.
Outgoing, I would want to know who I am publishing with and is it going to help my business, provided they've accepted my guest post.
Resource below has some ideas

I have had a few comming in for an agency I think and then want to pay me to do a guest blog. I have not gone into things so far, seems fishy, not sure :-(
Thanks Lizzy and I hear you.
Due diligence is important, seems fishy I walk away. Better safe than sorry!
Hi - if the reason for doing this is in the hope of obtaining backlinks, then Google frowns upon this practice.
If sticking to the Google guidelines, then the site you are hoping to write for should mark your link back to your website as "no follow", so you won't gain a backlink from it.
Or do you mean, you want others to guest post on your site? If so, then essentially it is the same - you should mark their link as "no follow" so there is no reason for them to post, they won't gain anything from it.
If you do go ahead, in either of the above circumstances, you should also ensure that both domains have similar domain authority. If there is a big disparity, then one site could drag the other down.

Is anyone else not getting emails about new referrals and when they complete the account set up?
Hi everyone a pleasure to join in he discussion, when you get the referrals will it be in your business Email or in your regular Email?
To be more specific, the email alerts you receive, go to the email you used when creating your WA account.
Rudy
What is that about? I'm lost. Everyone else seems to understand,. But not dense Trent here. Heh
When you get a referral to WA you get an email telling you about it but the emails are not coming through.
When ever you get a new referral joining through your link you will normally get an email from WA letting you know, so as you can contact them and start building a relationship early.
Some of us are not getting these auto generated emails at the moment.
Hope that makes sense Trent?
Mark
I think that there is a bug thread that you can make Kyle and Carson aware of this, Lisa!
Jeff
Does this happen for the initial new referral, and/or when thry complete their profile?
Now I will have to check as I have recently received a couple of referrals.
Rudy
with me, it happened 1st when they completed their profile and I got an email 2 days later and then the next time I got a referral it said I had a new Jaxxy subscriber but I didn't get the email to say I had a new WA subscriber.
Thats odd, Lisa. I hope this gets resolved soon.
Fortunately, our messages are automated, so our new referral is not left out there by themselves...grin.

My site is still under attack. why is this happening? what can I do to make things more secure? How are support dealing with this?
So sorry to hear this.
I have no answers. Wish we did.
I do know the most likely place of attach is allowing users to register and the contact email address.
When this gets resolved we do hope there is something we all can do.
Wesaw that RichardDB recommended using WP Armour Honeypot Plugin. We just installed it.
You have seen her in chat so many times, so many blog posts, so many messages, she has been continually reaching out to them.
