Struggling To Keep My Head Above Water.

Hello Wonderful WA family, I hope you are all well?

I have a dilemma at the moment that I would appreciate your advice on, don’t worry it is WA related. Built a site in April, worked hard to get 90 posts published on it. Now just can’t think of anything to write about and not much enthusiasm for it either ( obviously that’s not helping) subject health and wellness.

The Black Friday deal came around and I managed to upgrade to Premium Plus, was very excited to be able to scrape together the money in time. Thought that would help me out with the site.

It didn’t, built a new site. It has 3 published posts totaling 6610 words. I have a lot to say on this subject. Ideas are flowing like a river running into the sea. Still struggling with the technology part. Watched all the OEC training again and still not got my site map sorted, nothing connected to Google, Bing or yahoo.

Also watched some members training on it as well. Phil @feigner. It’s just me trying to rush so I can get on with writing.

Now the dilemma part, I feel like the lady in the picture above. Do I carry on with my new site or do I at least try and write one post a week on the old site?

I feel I worked so hard on it, I just don’t know what to do for the best.

I know I’ll get some great answers from you all.

Going to leave you with this quote:

“ Sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through our life without any obstacles, we would be crippled. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. Give every opportunity a chance, leave no room for regrets. “ Friedrich Nietzsche

Have a great week.

Stay safe.

Hey Lisa. Sorry to hear about your troubles, but Mr. Nietzsche is right. Obstacles are the fuel for our soul's journey.

Sometimes when I encounter a block in my work I take a break from it. I go on a walk or I read something for pure pleasure. Burnout is a real phenomenon. We all need periodic breaks from our creative work in order to recharge.

Maybe you could put the original site on hold while you collect yourself?

Another thing you can do is ask your heart. The heart has its own intelligence, this was known by ancient people's of the world but it is sadly not something which is talked about much today.

The mind thinks but the heart knows. When you access the heart's intelligence you are communicating with the deepest part of your self. There is science which backs all of this up. Check out the HeartMath foundation to learn more about this.

To listen to your heart you need to do four things:
1- Breathe deeply/slowly
2- Focus on your heart (send your attention to your heart, feel its beat within your chest)
3- Ask what you want to know. Imagine yourself in the situation you want to know about.
4- Feel your hearts response. The language of the heart is the language of feelings, not words.

We've all learned that solving our problems starts with the head. But when it comes to matters about our direction in life, our work, our love life and where we live, the mind is pretty incompetent. That's the heart's realm of expertise. The seat of the soul, the feminine intuition within all of us.

There is always a way forward, we just need to take the time to look at our options every now and then. And a little help is always welcome.

All the best,
Erick

The thing about this online gig is that we get to make up the rules of our engagement.

Who said you have to!

Sometimes we can get to the point where things are not connecting if you try and force it, we can end up on a slow burn to losing interest altogether.

If you are enjoying this new website, then go for it, keep in touch with the other one. put a time limit on it and see how you go.

Sometimes that step back break can make all the difference.

End of the day we all need to back outselves.

Thank you very much Alex, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts 😊

Hello Lisa,

I hope that the new site is going well for you. I understand that keeping up with it can be a bit hard as I am having a bit of a hard time myself.

At least you seem to be keeping up with both the old and the new site.

Best,
Myra

Appreciate you stopping by Myra, we will get there 😊

You have come so far with 90 posts don't give up now...Unless you have lost all desires for the health and wellness niche. But there are so many subjects related to health and wellness you can diverse in. The niche is really broad and unlimited. There is the body, mind and sole and for thousands of years humankind could still not encompass the boundless aspects of human life even after millions of books have been written on the subject. You just have to choose in which area you want to expand on and which resonates most with you. The choice is yours to make maybe a slight change of direction or a whole new aspect of wellness.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it.😊

I like Debbi's answer. Settle on one. The other one can percolate for a while. If it doesn't inspire you to write and the new one does, go for the new one. You can always go back to the other one later if you decide to do so. After all, there's no race.

Very wise advice Fran, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts 😊🌹
