Stats for a 5 month old blog
Hello wonderful supportive family I hope you are all well?
One week ago I shared that I had written 286,977 words and I have kept up with writing at least 1 post every day and sometimes 2 a day. Now my word count is
Keeping up the momentum helps to keep me motivated to continue through this difficult phase.
The words have been written since the start of my time here at WA which is 14 months and they cover 2 websites.
I have been trying not to look at my analytics every 5 minutes and I have managed to stick to once a week which has been an achievement in itself.
The image below is my 90-day stats for the MMO niche.
I'm hoping they start to climb quicker once my site gets past the magic 6 months mark where the site will have gained more authority from Google which means the posts should rank faster.
The main difference between this new site and the old one apart from niche has been using Pinterest on the first blog site I didn't use it at all.
These are my analytics from Pinterest: the first image is from 27th February and it's a 90-day range.
This image is from today and it's only a 30-day range and it's a big difference.
I didn't use Pinterest before because I didn't know how!
This time instead of letting that get in the way I purchased a couple of courses and I'm so pleased I invested in my business because it has made a massive difference to my traffic and motivation.
In my drafts bank, there are 24 completed posts for 2 reasons I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks next month and I will not be writing just publishing and relaxing and also because I have Carpal Tunnel in both wrists which are getting worse every day. No idea how long it will take to get something done about it here. Just have to keep taking the tablets LOL.
That's about it for this month stay safe as it's not over just yet.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Personally, it's a massive encouragement as I struggle to get my 5 month old website off the ground.
So what's the difference between my progress and yours, well, for a start, your output is phenomenal! You';ve written close to 10 times the amount of words that I have in 5 months!!
I'm not deterred by this. You have shown me what is possible and inspired me to up my game and try harder to churn out more blog posts more frequently.
Could you share which Pinterest training you chose?
I dabbled with some Pinterest advertising without knowing what I was doing and ended up splurging money I couldn't afford to lose as I had inadvertently duplicated an ad 3 times! Oooops!

One thing I will say is I have been doing this full-time for the past 2 months and that makes a big difference.
I have not done any paid ads to get those stats.
I have just been sunbathing for the last few hours :-)

Couple things, first there are stretches that you can do for the carpal tunnel. I've had the same issues but since I started stretching my forearms, hands, fingers, and also rolling my hands on a lacrosse ball it has gone away.
Second, pinterest is amazing! I tell folks just follow 4 steps to master.

I write 1 post per week and each post is also repurposed into a video and a podcast which also keeps the carpal tunnel at bay!
Hard to argue with those stats my friend! Very inspirational stuff and many congratulations on your progress so far.
Pinterest certainly seems to work well for you when driving traffic to your site Lisa, I will have to up my research into how best to use it!
You live in Tenerife, a place I would like to get back to one day! So where will you go for your holidays my friend?
