Having A Bad Time

Hello, My wonderful family. Good morning afternoon or evening to you all.

I have to say December has been my worst month ever since I joined wealthy affiliate. I have been here since March 2020 and everything until this month has been hard work but full of positivity.

Not the case this month.

It started off with being quite poorly and then after nearly 3 weeks I was better.

But now my site keeps going down. I was building a nice amount of visitors every day and it was good to see all of my hard work paying off.

Now I just feel very frustrated. My site has gone down at least 3 times over the past 3 weeks. Support has sorted it out the last 2 times quickly. For that, I am very grateful.

This time it is fixed again but just took a lot longer!

Maybe I'm still not right as I feel all at sea and don't know what to do at the moment. Not been able to write properly either. I have only done 2 posts this month.

That is so not like me. Feeling like a failure :-(

I'm just hoping my traffic goes back up again.

Have a great day.

Signing off from Lanzarote Lisa.

Hi Lisa,

Welcome to the club of successful members.

Yes, you read that right!

Ask any of them and they will tell you what is happening to you also happened to them.

Remember, you are in this for the long haul. When you see progress made at this phase of your journey, don't let that make you think it is indicative of what will happen in the future.

It is really challenging to produce content when you're not feeling well. My advice is to avoid looking at your stats for at least a month. Work towards writing more posts as you are able to.

Soon you'll be regaining your ability to increase your rate of production. This time do not set a rate so high that when you fail to do that it can mean you're failing in the goals you have set.

It is FAR better to write say two posts a week forever, rather than 5 posts a week and stop for a month or two. I think you know what I mean.

Don't be hard on yourself Lisa. You will overcome this setback and soar once again.

I wish you a fantastic 2022!

Cheers.

Edwin

Lisa,
You will find that there is a cycle to posting, views, traffic, etc.. Do not worry overly much because it will pass and you will be back to your normal levels. Just don't give up. Keep moving forward, even if it is at a pace that is slower than you normally go. You mentioned that you have not been feeling well. Whatever malady you may have is taking so much of your enthusiasm from you and robbing you of your energy. I hope that you get back to yourself soon. I will be praying for a swift recovery in all aspects of your life.
Jerry

Hello Lisa,

Thank you for your blog post, I'm sorry that you having a bad time.

The good thing is that hopefully, things will quickly improve, I think sometimes we just have to step back and take a break. I know you have huge amounts of enthusiasm for what you're doing, which is fantastic. However, I think it's good to stop sometimes and take a step back for a couple of days or so and then recharge our batteries.

Unfortunately, like many things on the news, some things aren't being reported properly. My Webmaster in the States said that website hacking is now very common, it's almost like a new type of warfare. He has experienced a lot of hacking in the last few months.

I'm glad that support has been able to help you, that's good news. I haven't had the best experience with support recently, especially if the issue is slightly more technical. I am fortunate as most of my main websites are on a dedicated server which gives me more control.

It's a busy time of year for most people, so I am sure that you will get back to normal very soon and your traffic will increase again. I do notice with websites that traffic can be very much up and down! There are some things that we just don't understand.

Wishing you all the best and a prosperous New Year.

Roy

Hey Roy,
merry Christmas.
My site is back up and running now.
Not done any writing just having a break in Lanzarote, will get back to it when we get home on the 28th.
Have a great day :-)

Good morning Lisa,

Thank you, I hope you had a nice break and have a good journey home today.

I'm glad your site is back up and running now.

I understand where you're coming from, I had plans to do lots over the Christmas break, however, so far I haven't achieved anything! I have to say; sometimes it is just good to stop, especially at Christmas!

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

Lisa, don't fret!
Step away for a bit and maybe just write notes about blogs, instead of pushing yourself.
What goes up, must come down, and vice versa.
Stopping away can refresh your attitude and bring back the positive.
Me thinks, this is a temporary set-back.
Rock on in 2022!!
Barb

Many thanks for stopping by Barb.
I have missed your joyous comments, my friend :-)

I pulled the plug for a couple of days, Lisa, but now I'm back.
Christmas chaos took it's toll, but now I refreshed, and ready to launch into MY goals.
Enjoy the rest of your Holidays Lisa!
Thanks for a being a good friend, this past year! :)
Barb

You are very welcome Barb.
I wish you a wonderful 2022 :-)

Hi Lisa, very sorry to hear about your December experience! I just want to encourage you on this wise, based on my belief in God.

Don’t allow anything, anxiety, fear, anger, frustration about your site to affect your peace during this season.

Instead, realize that money, possessions, insurance, or any index we measure our success as important as they may be, do not grant real peace or life.

Rather, find or rely on the all-encompassing gift that is independent of all circumstances. Good or bad.
I know what I’m saying.

So my friend, celebrate good health, life, and all the accomplishments of the past 11 months, while you see everything return to normal.

The ups and downs of seasons of life is a reality! Don’t feel downcast.
Have a wonderful Merry Christmas!

Gratitude helps one stay optimistic. :)

Many thanks, my friend.
Have a blessed day :-)

Very true Barb :-)
