Have you tried looking at Google Trends and see how it stacks up? You might be able to get some idea of how popular things are or aren't!

I want to combine some solid data for my article by quoting and inserting graphs from other websites.
I immagine some graphs and diagrams would be protected by copyright, bu
Yes, you can use graphs and infographics from other websites, as long as you pay homage to them and attribute the image to them by mentioning their website URL in the Caption of the image. If there's any copyright infringement, it won't bite you if you're crediting the image taken from the Source where you got it.
Not from the Caption but if you want to write out the URL where you got the image, say something like this on Captions when you edit the image on your site:
We do not own this image. This was sampled from www.sitename.com. We will be happy to remove if applicable.
Another thing you can do to avoid all this, is select a royalty-free website like DepositPhotos.com and just purchase all the images and graphs and things you want to add to your site.
This way you don't have to spend a lot of time paying attributions.

I think you chose a great niche because more and more people are going solar. You may want to adjust your niche to solar power products and not just solar panels.
I just did a search on Google for Solar Panels Affiliate Program and found a few available affiliate programs. But for the most part I found many solar companies that offer a wide range of solar products.
There is GoGreenSolar, OverlandSolar, BioLite, and GoalZero to name a few.

In fact I see some affiliate programs like the ones you mentioned, but when I try for example to search for "best solar panels" in Google and I go inside the sites of the top results I see them all recommending plus o minus the same manufacturers but without affiliate links, just adds.. In fact, when I went inside the sites of these solar panels suppliers I saw that they do not have an affiliate programs.. Does this means that on this specific product (the actual solar panels) there is no way to earn as affiliates but just by adds on the page?
Are you sure the ads are not affiliate links? And are these top results in Google paid ads and not organic search results.
The companies I mentioned above all have affiliate programs. You would just need to research these sites and choose which program you wish to join.

In Google searching "disable order option in woocommerce" (without the quotation marks, of course) I found several tips offered that may help you if you read through them once you run the same (or similar) search.
