Hey all! Happy New Year!! I'm back baby ;-)

I'm going through my inbox replying to messages and I'm seeing some Not Live boxes beside people's messages...what does this

Did you find the answer to your question yet? I would like to know too.

Hi Liz,
I saw the same thing on my inbox yesterday. I didn't understand what it meant either. That's odd, I wonder if this is showing up on everyone's inboxes? Hope someone out there knows the answer, I don't.
Take care.
Mary

Hi, Liz, best wishes for 2017 to you as well.
And sorry I have no answer to your question.

Good to have you back, Liz, YAY! Can you post a pic of your problem?

I actually have no "set" routing for any given day. My work goals are on a weekly basis. That gives mu much more flexibility on any given day.

As I learned from Tony Robbins:

1. Define the outcomes (what you want to achieve) that you want;
2. Break down the steps that will bring you closer to your desired outcome;
3. Work on those steps, day in and day out, and soon you will find your successful routine.

I hope this helps. I works for me because I am driven towards my goals instead of wavering on what I should do next.

It is hard to hold to a specific routine as life gets I the way unexpectedly. I hold to tasks so much that I tire and let sleep forcey routoine occasionally.

Hi Liz,
That is a great question. Thought provoking too.

So sweet. I love you smile too. Keep smiling.

Liz as soon as I succeed I shall let you know, but this could take a looot of time. Meanwhile you might hear from those that are there already.

Seriously, work when you are motivated.

Thanks Jovo. But what do you do?

Most of my viewers are in the US, but I also have viewers in Canada and the UK. What should I do if I have a book, for example, and I want to make it available for all three co

Hello all. I have decided to go with PodgeNPeter's suggestion of using Custom Content by Country. Going to see how it works! If it's as easy and downloading and adding my assiciate tag, then I'm a happy camper!

Issue I've been having is being able to get an amazon.ca account! Werid eh? I get right to the end and it says that I can't use the telephone numbers I add to enter my PIN and activate the account. I'm international and so I add +32 and the phone number. I've tried everything (I think). And no luck. Back and for emails with customer service. We'll see how it goes.

If anyone can help me with entering my international phone number for amazon.ca I would really appreciate it ;-)

Hi Liz,

I'm looking into this as well. That plugin looks to be a bit more complex than some of the others because it seems as though you have to add a code to every link with that one? I'll have to take another look.

I did find one called Amazon Link Localizer which may be a bit more straightforward.

For the international phone number, that's weird. I can't think of why that would be? I live in Canada and when I tried joining Amazon UK, I didn't have any problems with the international phone number (I added +1 for Canada, area code, and then the phone number).

Good luck, I hope you get it resolved soon!

Anna

Thanks!

Hi Liz.
You can use some tools like EasyAzone plugin and add all Amazon branches. So you sign up with all of Amazons separately, create your search IDs and put it into plugin.

You have one single link in the post.

So when somebody clicks on the link, (s)he is redirected to the local Amazon store. It works, I am using it, but all other stores are really symbolic, the most important part for me is US branch.

It also updates prices daily, they are visible when you hover above the link.

The plugin is not free.

Hope this helps.

I am an affiliate for a lot of Amazon countries. You need to create an account within the affiliate program for each country. So that people are directed to the correct country when they click my links I use the Amazon link engine plugin and geni.us - you enter all your affiliate IDs into geni.us and it makes sure the correct ID is used.

Yup, assumed as much!

Looks like a lot of accounts and links are needed haha.

Ya ... Unfortunately I don't speak French, German, Chinese, etc so the sign-up process for countries with language other than English will be quite interesting to say the least.

Wow that's cool! Tx for the update!

Google translate? ;-)

Ya know I thought about that and discarded the idea BUT since you have brought it up again one might be able to copy and paste the whole application form and thereby at least understand somewhat how to go about applying. - good thought. I may just try that lol

I actually had that question myself Liz cuz I'd heard where you had to be signed up for this country or that so I emailed support and this is what I received:

"Hello,

This is Chris R. with the Amazon Associates Program. You may earn an advertising fee for any qualifying items placed in a customer's shopping cart during a 24-hour window. This window begins at the time a visitor clicks through your Associates link. However, the session window will close if the customer submits their order or reenters Amazon.com through another Associate's link.

It does not matter where the purchasing customer lives. As long as they can add an item to their cart and place the order after selecting their address, then you will earn advertising fee's."

So as long as you are an Amazon associate you get paid whether your customer lives in timbucktoo or the USA it doesn't matter. If they can crt the product you get paid (as long as they purchase through your link within 24 hours and do NOT click some else's link inbetween.)

This would be very easy, but others aren't saying the same thing...

Then I suggest you contact Amazon affiliate support and ask. Maybe you'll get the answer you want to hear :-)

I use a plugin called "Custom Content by Country" but like others have said, you do need to sign up to each country's affiliate program so that you have an affiliate ID for each one you want to use. I found out how to use it below. (he explains it even more in the comments) There is another one called "BestAzon" but in the end, I went with custom content because you can use it with non-Amazon affiliate links as well.

I hope that's of some use to you.

Podge

@PodgeNPeter - Thanks for the info on the plugin! I've installed it (minutes ago). Before I start applying to 8 other countries which the plugin will handle did you notice a worthwhile increase in profits by signing up for the various other countries?

Hi Profithog

Sorry, I've only just seen your comment. My traffic is still relatively low at this point but the traffic I do have is mainly US, UK and Canada so for now I've only signed up to those three. I'll probably sign up for more if and when my traffic increases from any other country but for now I only really need those three. I've had clicks on all three but I couldn't tell you about profits because I'm still waiting for that first elusive sale :((((

Agreed on all points. You would need to become an affiliate for any country you wish to receive a commission from. The globalizer plugins should work well for you, but definitely test them out.

I don't like to leave these things to chance. On my site, I've put in a button with a dropdown that allows the user to choose his / her country. Currently, I'm only an Amazon associate for the US and Canada.

You can see an example on this page (button is below video):
http://www.bodycoachcanada.com/books/stop-saying-youre-fine/

Here is a code snippet you can use:

http://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_dropdowns.asp

I hope this helps.
Mike

I have just done some more reading,

On reading I have found this

http://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-affiliate-link-globalizer/

If the product is in both countries, this plugin will redirect them to the correct site, but if it is not, then it dumps them in the homepage.

However you will need to test it out to see if you get paid or if you need to sign up still to the US or other country.

Hi Liz,

I think Braii205 is right: if a buyer on, say, amazon.com tries to buy an item listed on amazon.co.uk, they may be able to buy it, but it will be priced in $ rather than £ and if you're an affiliate in the UK you won't get the commission - or, worst case scenario, which happens sometime, they get a message that says 'this item is not available in your country (or words to that effect).
(I I don't know why it's only for some items - probably because the seller has set up to 'not sell to international sellers').

Hey Liz!

I believe the real true way of doing this is to be an affiliate for each of the countries, I did some reading on it earlier. I you are an affiliate in the UK for example, for a US customer to buy in $ they would redirect to .com but you would only get commission if you were an affiliate for the .com page?

I hope that makes sense, I am interested to see others responses and I will follow. :)

This is how I thought it would work, but seems too easy ;-) lol

Apart from all the tax form stuff with US side of things. Have you done this yet?

I started the other day.

Not yet. Just signed up with US again and completed the tax form. Will have to sign up for the others and install the plugin...another plugin! There's no way around plugins! Lol
