I don't know whether you will love this, but a report came in the papers yesterday about wellness industry worth £3 trillion worldwide. The report said wellness industry is booming, and NOW is the time to invest. Best wishes.

I agree with the concept of doing both. You obviously have your own recipes that you love and it would be interesting, I think to have others provide their variations.

I like MyraBeth's suggestion. You will have to work out the mechanics of guest blogging and propriety, but a blend of your own writing and other's input will make a supercharged site.

Question though...if people guest blog, I don't mind one link to their blog. I mean, of course they would add it. But is there a way to see the post before it's published by a guest blogger?

I say, write most of them yourself but have a section where people can guest blog their own recipes. Maybe you can run a contest every week for best submitted recipe and people can vote for which one they want to win! :)

Hi Liz, I don't want to come across all mercenary, my thoughts are that the proportion of having guest bloggers is a good one excuse the pun but they add to the flavor of your site. They decrease in value if they are linking to their blog/site by way of taking folks away from your site thus eroding the reach of your site. Conversely, they may be authorities in that niche so you may get kudos by having them contribute content for your site, it may be a mutually beneficial arrangement if you get to guest blog on their site/s.
I know that it is not discussed a lot in the community, but at some point, we have to think in the terms of our unique selling proposition. At the end of the day are guest bloggers going to enhance your opportunities to monetize your site ?

Maybe you can create a blog and have them make their contributions to the blog and no directly to the website and then you can ask other people to rate it and publish the most popular on your website.

This is just my suggestion - You could ask your viewers to email you their recipes and stories. Then, you could write your own posts based on their stories. That way, you have control and consistency with your writing style. You could have excerpts or whole paragraphs from your viewers' stories, in your blogs. That way, you wouldn't have to rewrite their entire story or experience.

Add people..some of the best sites do this....I belong to instructables and this site has everything...how to cook, make, draw, create take a look it will give you ideas for your own site..they are massive!

Make sure you get written permission to publicise their recipes or comments.
