You probably need to create a header image, not a logo. Logos are typically small but a header image goes right across the entire page. Go to my profile page https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/marionblack and visit my websites, you'll see my headers. ~Marion
Hi Marion, thanks very much. I think you helped me with the template you are using, works fine, but not with Penscratch. In that theme the header image loads underneath the Main text and the menu. I actually do mean a Header text with a logo on the side. I specifically wanted to do it with Penscratch if possible. On http://wordpress.com it has a log0 button to upload the header image to the right spot (works with logo, logo as text or picture etc), but it is not there on WA version. Don't know code etc, but just wondered if there was a way around it ...
I just did a quickie header on http://adelaidebusinesses.com using Penscratch. It is a header image 937 x 300 px and it appears below the menu. I deleted the title and tagline. I couldn't see anywhere to place a logo except within the header image. Is that what you mean?
Hey Marion, sorry I missed your message last night. Hey just noticed you are in Adelaide, small world, I am in Maryborough in Qld at present. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out the "Penscratch" theme for me. Yes what you did with header, I was able to do, but not what I was wanting. Need the header above menu. That's the crazy thing, in wordpress you can do it simply with the logo button, but there is none through WA ... never mind, will just use as it is I think for now .. did have me wondering why it is different though .. here is a link below to my wordpress free site (just joined to try it as noticed many people using Penscratch had achieved it, and was curious if it was different straight from wordpress, and it was )... the header words and pen logo are low resolution and not the size I would use, just uploaded a free version to get the idea .. but that's what I was wanting to achieve .. warm regards, Mikey
