Traffic Continues To Climb!

After my last post, my traffic has shot up to another level!

From Sunday at 346 sessions for the day to Monday at 485 sessions for the day!!

I was like WHAT?! My traffic has never jumped up 139 sessions in a day before, and yesterday stayed in the upper 400's at 469 sessions.

Will it now stay at 400s or will it go up to 500s??

Who knows! That's the thing about this SEO thing, you never know when you're finally going to breakthrough!

I've been waiting for this for so long, and writing for so many months wondering when I'm going to get the bigger streams of traffic that I hear about.

Now I'm finally seeing my site really making improvements this month to another level!

It's really amazing to see.

I've had 52 referrals this month already at this level of traffic but these last two days when it jumped up to 400s in the visits didn't exactly increased my referrals per day.

I'm still at 2-6 referrals per day for most days in the Oct month, which is definitely a record month for me so far.

We only have 6 more days in this month and I hope I can hit an all time high of 60 referrals for the month!

Hope this gives you guys a look at what can happen if you write lots of content with low hanging fruit keywords. :)

The training here works, just do the work! I know it's hard, I've been there. I know it seems like you're working for nothing, but you are, it will show up at some point so keep going. :)

To your success!

You are living proof that a solid website (which I know you have) and solid content (which I also know you have) based on the training here works!

I am in the cheerleading section and rooting for you...

Sometimes it takes a while for me, but I can put the dots together and make sense of things nonetheless...In this case, I am speaking of your thorough coverage of the subjects you write about...

I just published a post here on a great article on SEO in 2018, and what you are doing fits EXACTLY with the changing way that Google is ranking sites that is described in that article.

You may want to have a look at that post by Brian Dean, it will give you likely some good insight on how to improve your already good results, even more, going forward...

Brian always over delivers, and that is the case for his extensive look at SEO. There were some things in there I had never heard of, and some actionable ideas I will use now and going forward too.

Cheers!
Dave : )

I will definitely check out that post you wrote about, I saw it, but haven't been able to dive into the details of it yet.

Thank you for your kind words, as I was just telling Craig below, there is so much about SEO we don't know because none of us work in the Google SEO department. Lol

What we can do is just write according to what we know and with the tools we have and hope for the best. That is why I write as much as I can because you never know what will rank and what will bring crazy traffic to your site.

But the more content you have the more chances of traffic you'll get.

Thanks for your input here Dave,
Grace

Sounds like everything is going well. That's great.

It sure is Jim, thanks. :)

Heee. What are low hanging fruits keywords? ??

If you're asking that question, you need to go back to the training here, that's the core of the training. :)

Very encouraging thanks

You're welcome, love to share. :)

That's great news Grace! You are now overtaking me for traffic. I'm really pleased for you, it's testimony to all your hard work. I have struggled to keep up the momentum over the last couple of months which means my traffic is still hovering just over 200/day.

How many of your referrals go Premium in one month? I'm wondering whether or not to start a WA site in the same niche. I think the earnings could be better than a niche like mine. You can PM me if you don't want to share personal info here :D

Hi Craig, I don't mind sharing because so many Vegas'ers don't share their stats which makes it hard for peeps like me who are wondering what's what.

So here it is... I'm at my highest referrals but yet, none of my Oct has converted YET. I say yet because in Sept I had 34 referrals and 5 converted (in Sep & in Oct)... when people go Premium, you get to know when they started as a free member so my Sep conversions were good at 14.7%. But my Oct referrals so far (highest amount to date), is 0% so far which is a bit discouraging but I'm actually NOT discouraged.

I've been studying other sites and as I keep going and as my site keeps growing in traffic/referrals, those premiums WILL convert and my income WILL grow.

So for now, I'm not that worried about it because I'm waiting for my referrals to get to double digits A DAY (right now at 2-6 a day).

When I can get 10-20 referrals a day, that's when I know my $$$ will really get rolling.

It's a huge numbers game, and I know I will get there, which is in 2018.

By the end of this year, I will have 300 posts. By April, I will have 400, and that seems to be the magic number for at least a couple of Vegas members who announced this year that they made it.

I'm really surprised to hear this though because I thought your niche was doing really well and you always had higher traffic than me.

It could be because you didn't write enough and kept up your usual content in the last couple of months, but you can get it back.

I'm only concentrate on this one site for now, and I write a lot, I publish 8-9 posts a week and have about 2 weeks' worth of content scheduled.

If you want to get into this niche, I say write like a maniac and you'll see results much faster than me! :)

Hope this helps!!
Grace

Thanks for the info Grace!

It sounds like you have upped your game, 8 to 9 posts per week!!! My average in the first year was 4 posts.

I did manage to earn $570 in one month which was the best month so far but that dropped off. Like you, I'm not discouraged but I've slowed down a bit for various reasons (vacation, working overtime, etc).

My target is to up the ante, same as you for 2018. I wish you success this year!

I'm still not at a 3 digit earnings month for WA Premiums, so there you go.. but I know it's close. :)

It's just a much more competitive niche and you need way higher numbers to get the same earnings on a less competitive niche.

This is also why it's hard to compare niches because it depends on so many factors... so I hope for those who are reading to take the into consideration.

But... with all niches, Content is king I believe, so without it, no traffic, and no money. :)

So yes, I had to up my game to write more often because I know that's my competition (I've seen many sites doing the same thing!) so I must do the same thing.

Anyone else coming into this niche with anything less will take a lot longer.

That's why I say, if you want to start this, just write product reviews like crazy. :)

There's always enough room for everyone.

If you pick a less competitive niche, it just means maybe less post to see the same amount of $$$. :)

That's a good analogy Grace and I've always preached from the same book. It's all about the content but with the ever-changing face of SEO and good old Google, we have to adapt too.

I will now change my strategy slightly and try and write longer posts. It's difficult without over-elaborating but I'll try. See the post by DaveSW on SEO in 2018. I think I am covering most of the points already but my post length needs to be addressed. I'm always less than 1500 but more than 1000 words.

My average of words is around 1500, and when I'm tired, I do on the lower end like 1,200 but none the less, it all depends on your competition again I think.

I see many who rank on first page, early especially, don't have a lengthy post.

I have also written a 2,800 word post for a more competitive keyword but higher search volume (Search 425 QSR 61), and it's been on Page 3 since it was published in mid Aug.

So this proves to me that longer posts doesn't really matter in this one case and I'm boggled at why this is.

I will definitely check out Dave's post as he just told me about it too above but I find there's still many mysteries about Google ranking we don't know about in general and we can only do our best with what we know and what tools we have.

That's why we need to write a lot because you never know what's going to rank well and what's not. I have another example that I'll post about tomorrow.

I think SEO will always be a mystery, and we can only do our best with what we know. :)

Absolutely.

I had one post that managed to climb to page 1 after I got around 70 comments and then for no reason at all, it dropped onto page 3!

I don't think I'll ever understand Google.

Yeah that's gotta hurt, but you have to move on and just write new content or try to improve that post.. but I would just opt for new content. :)

This is a "happy post" and one that is such an inspiration for people like us who are just beginning to set out on this exciting journey. I hope to achieve something like you have done someday. Keeping fingers crossed :) Congratulations!

You can certainly experience the same thing!! I'm just following the training here like we all should so just do that and write lots as taught, and you'll experience the same thing.

Woweee Grace! Am thrilled for you! Not just about the traffic spike but also for all those referrals! Wow! You rock!

Thanks Lauren!! if one this referrals will upgrade!! One step at a time. :)

Great job Grace!

Thanks Michael. :)
