To The New Members Asking Questions
Being a new member can be exciting and overwhelming at times because you are so eager to get your online business built and start making money.
That enthusiasm though, sometimes makes you jump the gun on things that you're not quite ready for.
I've been around for a year now and have helped around the platform answering your questions.
What I find that is a huge problem I see with new members is that they jump to all these trainings by members that talk about making money but yet, the new members who are looking at these trainings have not even touched the main courses here.
I know this because of the questions you ask.
Forget all the different ways you can make money from your blog or how to add Google Adsense or Amazon affiliate links, and do this:
FIRST THING FIRST, DO THE MAIN TRAINING HERE: "Getting Started" Level 1 - GREEN BUTTON ON LEFT MENU
aka Online Entrepreneur Certification course
Without the core foundation of your website, you will get nowhere. I strongly advise you to go through this course first and foremost.
Then, once you've finished the course, you can look for more ways to monetize your blog.
Without the course, you're asking questions that require a huge long explanation that is already in the training here.
You must remember you're building a business and you should use the training here to build it right from the get-go, that's what you're here for.
This is literally the best training that takes you by the hand, step-by-step, to build your awesome online business.
A lot of your questions will be answered if you would just go through the lessons in that Green button.
While going through this Online Entrepreneur Certification course, keep in mind that you should:
- Start with Level 1, Lesson 1
- Follow each lesson in ORDER, do NOT skip around.
- Do all the TASKS at the end of each lesson, do NOT skip tasks.
- Ask questions - Don't get stuck or frustrated, we are all here to help. Here are the three ways to get help:
- Underneath the lesson
- Pen Tool top right > Choose "Ask A Question" - this is also available bottom right of each lesson you're on.
- Live Chat
I also see a lot of you asking questions on your own Profile, that's not the best place to ask for help.
Using "Ask A Question" is the best way to get help as you can get different perspective from different members and I feel it has the biggest exposure.
Live Chat is great for quick answers you need.
If you know for sure you want to promote WA and go into the Make Money Online Niche, then you can start with the Affiliate Bootcamp course instead, Black Button on the left menu.
After doing that, you can still go through Online Entrepreneur Certification course just to make sure nothing's missed.
I have done both and it was beneficial.
If you are NOT sure about your niche, always start with the GREEN BUTTON! :)

Great advice, thanks Grace. It's my second day on here (currently lesson 3 trying to brainstorm some niches). I keep having to stop myself clicking on posts from people who are talking about things probably 2 months in my future!

Hi Colin and welcome to WA! Yes, that's part of the distractions here as you can get carried away and easily waste half an hour, an hour just going through posts here.
You have to either let yourself have that half hour to get it out of your system so you can concentrate on your lessons or just tune it out while you have to work if you can be so diligent. ;)
I usually let myself go through the posts and see what's new etc before I start working in the morning but I gotta watch the time because it can easily turn into an hour just doing nothing! Lol
You seem like you have a hold on what's going on here, so I'm happy to see this. I know you will do well here!

Excellent post, Grace. Far too often, the new members of WA become mesmerized with the idea of making money asap. It's just wrong thinking on their part and is the reason why they often become frustrated - some even quitting all because 8 weeks into joining they haven't made a 4 figure income yet.
As you also stated, Grace,the new members need to follow the training in specific order as created by Kyle and his staff.
The statement that I sometimes hear, "the training is just overwhelming in quantity" just holds no water for me.
The reason that I make that statement above is that truly no one is ever placing a time limit as to how long it should take ANY new member to go through each step of the training.
There is no rush as unlike courses taken at a college/university, no limitations have ever been established by which a new member has "x" amount of weeks to get through each level of training before he/she would have to take a mid-term and then final exam.
No one ever gets tested! No one has the pressure of completing several courses within a 2 or 3 month time span. WA just does not work that way.
So, I agree 100% with your excellent article, Grace. A new member should work on completing each course exactly as presented in the training. If necessary a member should even repeat a course in order to completely grasp all that is discussed educationally.

I appreciate that you mentioned about the time factor! Yes, it's very true that there is no time limit and everyone can learn this at their own pace, another bonus of the training here.
Everyone is always in a rush to make money, but they need to learn how to build a foundation before doing that.
I hope new members who read this can see that.
