Missed Me?
Hello WA members,
So glad to be back! I've been away on a week long Mommy-only vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico where the water is as blue as my profile background.
It was a present from my awesome husband this past Christmas and I couldn't be more grateful to be able to travel without any kids.
I haven't done that since before kids so it was such a nice break!
My blog has been still posting while I was gone since I have created a writing schedule that allows me to schedule out posts, so my posting schedule was kept up while I was bathing in the sun. :) Highly recommend a writing schedule, see my previous posts for details.
Here are some pics from my vacation..
Pools were plentiful at this resort, which just opened back in Dec/16:
I snorkeled in this amazing blue water, where I swam with several sharks (about 4 feet long), saw a stingray devour a huge fish, and many other colorful fishes!
Did zip lining for the first time, pretty scary at first when you're about to take off the tower, but once you get going, it was fun. :) We also went snorkeling at an underground sink hole (cenote) and did rappelling for the first time too.
Love all-inclusive, so I drank lots of fruity cocktails and ate plenty of seafood. :)
The beaches were beautiful there, loved every minute.
Although it was a mommy-only vacation with my long time friend, it was hard not to miss my family. I hope I get to come back with them next time! :)
Okay... guess it's back to work!! Lol

I've been to Mexico City like 8 or 9 years ago, very nice place but never been to Hidalgo. Hope you'll have a blast there. :)
It is a beautiful place. I'm sure it has changed dramatically since I was there 30 yesrs ago.
Still gorgeous there.. last time I was there was 12 years ago and already saw many changes. Such nice people down there too. :)

I swam with stingrays once.....really cool experience, but I don't think I would repeat it though, lol.

Thanks Sondra, yes, it was amazing! I've always loved the blue waters so it was wonderful to see and experience. My hubby did a great job with this... he's usually not good with presents, and this time, he went over the top!! Lol

Thanks Vini! Yes it was awesome, I'm so lucky and so grateful for this trip. It was a nice rest and I'm motivated to work harder to make more money to go again! :)
