Do You Have An Email List? Are These Open Rates Good?
Hello, I recently finished my email series which is a total of 7 messages, a welcome message and a 6 day course.
My open rate so far ranges from 16-31%, are these good opening rates?
I also added the email series to the existing list I had and I'm sure those people will not open any of it so that could affect the rates.
Are my rates considered low, average?
If you have any experience with mailing lists, would love your input.

Hi Grace,
Coming from a corporate marketing background your open rates are higher than those of a lot of fortune 500 companies. That alone is pretty encouraging.
A drop off in open rates is not surprising in the slightest. You might want to look at your subject lines for days 3 and 4 because every other day has a higher open rate. Or you might want to re-order your course details so the higher open rates are pushed earlier.
If your auto responder allows for subject line testing (A/B testing) you might give that a go as well to see if it helps. If you want to discuss some options feel free to PM me.

It depends on the industry. it varies depending on your target market. 17% is considered good for one, while 24% for others. So it looks like you a little above average. Great work Grace.

If there is a way to measure successful "click throughs" on open rates you'll have a valuable metric!
Hi James, they are the same thing, that's what an email autoresponder does, it can collect emails for you and send out email messages according to how you set them to be sent out. I use AWeber. :)

These open rates of 16-31% are very good Grace. Anything over 10% is good.
