I got a warning right after i did it.

On Facebook I use call to action to drive my referrals to my website .

I assume you are asking about Google plus, not just google generally and I see your question has been answered.

I will add that the same applies in Facebook - don't post affiliate links, only point people to your website content. ~Jude

Lisa, if you have a WA review, I would suggest you share that info. It also shows a more personal experience that you have as a member. :)

I use PrettyLink Lite plugin to shorten links and make them more acceptable. ~Marion

Impressions
on amazon affilates what does that mean really anyone know?

The number of people that look at amazon through your site.

Go to TinyURL. They will "shrink" your personal affiliate link into one that more entities will accept.

awesome!

If you're using the WordPress platform here, then go to "pretty links". Do the search for their url.

That is not going to work because you cannot share any links that are redirected to or begin with my.wealthyaffiliate. Google considers these links as spam and will remove them and send you a warning.

I don't use Word Press so I wouldn't know how "pretty links" sets it up, but do they, in fact, start out the "new" link with "my.wealthyaffiliate..."?

Every link from WA starts as my.wealthyaffiliate. Just look at the URL address bar above. Google considers every my.wealthyaffiliate WA link as spam. The only way to share WA links on Google+ is to have the link within your own website.

Thanks so much

You cannot share any WA link that has a web address that starts as my.wealthyaffiliate

Yes, Google aren't allowing affiliate links, quite a few people have had problems. Best to create a post about WA then add a link back to it in G+

it cause google to think it is duplicate content?if so how do i handle that classification?

Have a wonderful day. Thanks for the follow. I'm sorry if I'm just now replying to you.

No, Google wouldn't see that as duplicate content but I wouldn't do it.

Thank you everyone

I think Jude gave you the answer

No, it won't be duplicate content. But, I find it a better strategy (and easier for visitors to find things) to assign only ONE category per post.

However, you can add several tags, if you wish.

My advice is not to have more than 5 to 7 categories overall on a website. If it is a big authority site or e-store, of course it will have more categories (e.g. Amazon...lol).

If you assign more than one category to a post, people searching the site may see the same information more than once and that can be annoying and feel like duplicate content to them, even though it isn't for Google.

Categories are broad terms. Tags can give a bit more detail.

So if your post is mainly about Videos, but you also mention, say, watching videos on tablets, then assign the Video category but tag it with "video on tablets", or something like that.

Just my take. ~Jude

thank all of you,you made my mind easier this morning.

Good answers, nothing to add

You can put it any several categories, it is not duplicate content. You can check this if you see url of it.

No, as you've still only got the one post on your website. You can put it into as many categories as you like (within reason).

It is a blog listing service that helps you get more exposure. Its 25 a month ,Do you think we need to use it?

Can you try before you buy?

It sounds like a waste of money. I don't think people would find your website on something like that, most of us use Google. ~Marion

Short answer = No.

It's a new site, so wont get many visitors. The blogs on the homepage have zero or one FB shares. So it's not going to result in any traffic for you.

And also, have you ever used a site like that to look for a random blog? Or would you just use Google if you wanted to find a site.

Should I use a service like blog catalog?

I am also doing a WA affiliate site, how do I link it to part of here? I bought hosting when i bought it because they had it really cheap. Is there anyway i can connect it to her

This is a very vague question. What exactly are you trying to do? ~Marion

I am sorry, I was not clear, what i meant was host not link. or link from wa to my new page

Thank you for following me.

Each website and their pages/post ranks by themselves you can not link two sites together to get higher ranking. You just need to keep writing post and get them ranked by using great keyword titles.

I'm not sure that I would do that. It could cause some unforeseen problems.

Hey Lisa, I have not linked my sites, but someone asked the same questions and there were some great answers on there that I think will help you.

html tags... I believe.. Check with Kyle for this one.. but I know there is a way. Check the boot camp videos too.

for my word press? Is there a time it gets slowed down because of to many?

it has recently been suggested no more than five, however so long as they do not impact on your site load time etc .. best to just have what you really need

as many as you need

my.wealthyaffiliate.com/everything-wordpress/how-many-plugins-are-too-many

Here is another one you can read.

Did you read this? Maybe it's all about the coding.

Well coded plugins won't slow down your site, this is an article about it. http://www.wpbeginner.com/opinion/how-many-wordpress-plugins-should-you-install-on-your-site/

When I install a plugin I make sure it's compatible with my theme and is regularly updated. I also test speed load time before and after installing.
Hope this helps. :)

Wow Kathy - I to was just about to say 5 -- But now that I have read that great article - I will be advising people to read this too from now on when this question arises -- Thank you! :)

I was fretting about it, so went looking for info. I also read the blog from Steve that Michaal gave the link to!

Okay -- I didn't notice his post before!

Pop your url in here. :) http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/

It is recommended to have as few as possible, 5 is ok, more might slow you down.

Around 5 is a good number too many will slow you down .
