I just found out about Amazon only giving commission for the country you are in. Well, I live in Spain and quite honestly do not see many hits or conversions coming from here.
This program of affiliate help may provide some solutions: http://www.authorityhacker.com/amazon-partner-program-dummies/
best to look were your traffic is coming from then sign up with appropriate amazon I use USA and UK
hi lisa - be careful about adding too many amazon accounts as they clash. i can't remember who it was but they had their account closed without warning or payment due to this.
i would go for .co.uk if you are after the uk market.
have fun

hi lisa, just looking at your site and the references to america - would it not make sense to go with amazon dot com?
like the quiz - poss cut it down to 9 questions?
have fun
phil
It may make sense, Phil. Being from the USA originally, I know the market there....Thank you for looking at my site...20 questions was actually the suggested amount and I cut it down to 15...Why do you think 9 would be better?
Hi Lisa, as far as I can tell, it´s a national thing in Spain to prefer brick and mortar. Possibly less so with the younger people in the larger cities. It´s because internet arrived in southern Europe later.
I´m glad you brought up this thing with Amazon. I´m in a tiny country!
http://Geni.us looks like it could fix the problem. But won´t Amazon find out and not like it much? I´ll await the responses with you.
This is rather worrying for me. Especially if all affiliates do it. If I am just going to be spinning my wheels then I would rather know now if I should get out then waste my time in a hamster cage.
I don't know how Amazon would take it if they found out.
You should look into signing up for Amzon in all the countries you'd like to be able to sell in.
I have not yet signed up for affiliates but I do already have accounts with .es, .co.uk, and .com so I guess I will have to sign up as an affiliate for all of them.
Boy oh boy, I never figured it would take me a whole week to get back to your question, Lisa.
The way I see it now, is that Amazon doesn´t care if you have 2 or 3 accounts, whereas 67 accounts would be too much.

Will the "purchasing gap" ruin my chance for success?

When I try to go to preview page, it says "not found". This has not happened before. I can do it on my computer but not on my husband's.
You need to buy those tiny glasses you were talking about?! I've been good I've updated my site for more brownie points: http://steampunkwayoflife.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/have-you-met-ziggatina.html
Hubby is now dowloading another browser, Loes. Thanks for that. Will let you know if it works.
Are you logged into WP on your PC Lisa I would assume you are not logged in on your husband's
My husband logged into WP as me because I wasn't feeling well at the time. I asked him to preview it for me.
Ok Lisa sounds like you have it going your way now. Besides Loes is here so you are in good hands
Yes, I certainly am in good hands. I appreciate all suggestions. He is also clearing his cache in edge. Something I don't think he has ever done before LOL
Did you publish your pages? You may need to look at the pages and see if you published it. I did the same thing and instead of publishing my pages, I had saved it as a draft. Try that and see what happens.
I have always been able to preview a draft before and I noticed the one thing that has changed is the permalink. At the end of the permalink there is this added text: &preview=true

Hi all,
Did anyone else receive this today?
Hi {recipient_first_name},
Pay-it-forward by helping out some of your fellow members who have questions th
Hi Lisa no I didn't get anything like that, probably because I am not far enough on the lessons yet cheers Helen
Yes, I got that too, but it had loads of questions attached. I couldnt possibly wade through them, and am still too much of a novice to answer a lot of them anyway.
A large portion of my time is spent on here anyway, helping where I can.
Another weird thing I get from time to time, is a post from someone that seems to contain every blog they have ever done on one page.
I dont know what I am expected to do with that, so I just delete them.
I have only seen that in the boot camp class once or twice. I thought it was part of the class. I don't know though.
Hi Lisa,
I get those from time to time. I don't know the answers they need so, I don't click on the links. I'm not far enough in the classes to help some of them. No, it's not a blip in your computer. It's ok. Have a good day.
Thank you, Mary. I was working on my emails because internet was down the night before. I usually follow questions that come up to see if I can answer. Occasionally, I am able to. Other times, if they have no response, I do research to try and get the answer and that way I learn something too.
I have not seen this output. It looks like a temporary anomaly that crops up occasionally. Retry within a short time. Have you looked at the index of questions by typing in the search for help bar to the left of the airplane in the search bar as an alternative?
Thank you, Mike. I was just wondering if it was a blip in my computer. I am trying to get caught up in my emails. I have a bit of OCD about that LOL.
Yes, that is where I usually see the questions. Still being new, most questions, I am not capable of answering. Occasionally, though, one comes along that I am able to answer right away. I also try to answer a question after doing some research if the question has been there a while.
Thank you for your help.
Lisa

I thought I read this on WA site but cannot find it now. Is this correct? If I did a .siterubix.com now and wanted to make it my own later, if available, could I do that or was
Hi Lisa,
Yes you can transfer your entire siterubix website over to one that you own in just 1 click. Here's the direct link to some training that will walk you through how to do this step by step How to Transfer a SiteRubix Website to Your Own Domain I hope this helps Lisa and please let me know if you have any other questions or need my help.
~Scott~
The answer is "sort of".
You won't be transferring the _exact_ domain over, since you are actually building your free site in a _subdomain_ of the siterubix.com domain. And Wealthy Affiliate (I'm guessing) has registered the siterubix.com domain.
But, yes, once you register your own domain; if you host it on the WA servers, there is a wonderful little "move" button in the SiteRubix manager, that pushes your theme and content over to your own hosted domain.
I've used the little move icon and it was quick, easy, and worked perfectly for me, even with a pro theme.
Have fun with your free site, in the mean time. As "katkat" said, it's a great place to practice. ;)

There are many advantages to buying a domain because you are in the real estate and you can sell the site however there are many advantages to starting with the free site so you can make mistakes
I agree with the advantages of owning your own site and I also agree with the making mistakes part of starting with free site. I intend to make it my own asap. Right now, though, I think I should have a free site. Thank you for the advice.
You can do that here, many people start with the siterubix free site and then buy a domain name later and move it across.
Thank you. I thought I was losing my mind for minute. Thought I read it here but then couldn't find it again. Thanks again.
