We Are What We Think About

When a person retires, if he/she doesn't have something to RETIRE TO, they often die soon. This could be compared to the Pandemic shut-down. If people don't find something to do, they may find themselves among those who perish.

Don't get me wrong here, this blog isn't about perishing amid the conflict but IT IS ONE of HOPE!

I like to think of us WAmily as the lucky ones who still have a job even in shut-down mode.

Unless we keep ourselves busy. it would be easy to get so self absorbed that we would fall into a very deep "rabbit hole as my husband calls it. In other words a place you don't want to be.

  • Worrying about the economic downturn
  • How we are ever going to survive
  • Where will I get the money to pay my rent or house payment
  • How can I pay for my meds?
  • What will I use for Toilet Paper?
  • WILL THE ECONOMY EVER COME BACK?

FEEL THAT ALREADY? Depression ensues and migraine headaches surface. People become discouraged and develope NO HOPE! It is thinking like this that caused many suicides during the Great Depression.

Happily. We Have Hope!!! Things Always Bounce Back.

Yes, maybe the going is rough for a while, but it always surges back up. We have many opportunities for building our dreams no matter what country we live in.

We are so Blessed having the opportunity with being able to build an online pressence and spreading hope to all the world. We may not be able to put food on their table, but we can put spiritual oil in their lamps, give them something to live for rather than escape from. That alone is the greatest service you can provide right now to your fellowmen (and women)

Share with them the opportunity to

  • Be proactive and create their own happy world in spite of world conditions
  • Enjoy Happy times together with family
  • Enjoy making new traditions: Start eating dinner at the dinner table as we used to do.
  • Communicate with their family
  • Even if they don't do Wealthy Affiliates, you can be a ray of hope through your connection with them
  • Make their own happiness
  • Please give some of your own ideas in the comments below.

We are what we think about
.

You've probably heard of the phrase "As a man thinketh. So is he." We are like the books we read, the movies we watch, the CD's we listen to and the people we associate with. I remember hearing that statement waaaay back eeons of years ago, and have found it to be so very true.

Get into reading some positive books. Maybe you can't read or stay focused to read; There are books you can access online that are free and can be read to you. "Read to me" scriptures in male or female voice are available. Search for them, you can find some!

Watch some GOOD online movies. Stay away from the dark, violent world

Keep yourself from dark subjects, they will only discourage you and further depress you. And avoid alcohol and mind altering drugs. Stay sane.

Be thankful for all that you have and focus on that.

Help someone in need and see how much that lifts your spirits.

Be a light to your family and friends
. You can do this, I know you can. It's a matter of "mind over matter!"

STAY SAFE!

Linda

This is the right time to re-evaluate and this is why I am with WA right now. ‘Things’ weren’t going too well for me, and that was before the pandemic, but since joining WA a week ago, these ‘things’ are looking so much more positive now. Thank you to WA and the community.

I agree Linda. We can give comfort wherever we are in the world to anyone.

You are so right. Our websites allow us to influence people all over the world.

Great post!
motivator and encourager,
and yes, is so much very important more than ever to be positive,
and be the bringers of light!
thank you!

be safe and be well

Thanks, Pedrone!
I'm so glad you agree about lighting the world with positive thoughts and actions. Enjoy the rest of the week!

Linda

Thank you!
you to have a good week

I so agree with you, Linda. I'm completely alone at home but I'm able to still telework so I'm one of the lucky ones. I have created my own little world (some would say I did that before the pandemic. LOL! Just kidding.). But I have everything I need. I clean and keep things up. I cook. I enjoy some special foods delivered from special shops I love (trying to keep them in business). For me, it's going along fine, as long as I know the rest of my family is okay.

I shared some articles on my niche site about stress and anxiety and resources for delivery etc.

I've read more books than I had in a long time! As awful as it is, there are little blessings to be found here and there.

Thanks for bringing it up. :)

Paula

Good evening Linda, outstanding post yes indeed. Keeping ourselves, building that passion, that is within each one of us. So that we come out of this with more knowledge than we had. Have a great night and a most wonderful week.
