To Buy or Not To Buy - Truth or Lies

I don't know where you hale from, but in Idaho or Utah, where I have lived and do live, now, there are many churches that sell their older pianos and replace them with newer ones. These are good pianos because they have only been used for Sunday meetings, and sometimes other days of the week, but they are basically new pianos; used only once a week /52 weeks a year Relatively hardly ever played, untouched

Colleges with music departments will sometimes replace their "practice pianos" and you'll get a fantastic starter piano from those purchases too. We were looking for a baby-grand piano on Craigs List the other day but found nada, zilch, nothing.

Then we looked on Facebook Marketplace and found that they have several for sale right now in our local area for $100-300. You have to be careful that the piano doesn't have any buzzing or twanging sounds as you play each key. Sometimes that's the sign of a broken block, which is irreparable.

My first piano purchase had a broken block and it took a blind tuner, who relied on his ear for tuning pianos, not the usual electronic device. This blind piano tuner told us our piano had a broken block. Luckily we had bought it from a business up town and we called them and told them to bring a piano that was not broken. Their piano tuner hadn't even informed us of the broken block.. Tfind the truth, It took.

An Honest, Blind Piano Tuner

Like in any world, we here at Wealthy Affiliate hope we find an honest, blind Piano tuner to tune us up on the parts of this business we don't understand. metaphorically speaking of course.

In a world made up of so many lies and deception, sometimes it is hard to tell truth from lies.

That is the one thing I really appreciate here at Wealthy Affiliate. We, all being of like minds, want truth, and no falsehoods. We give what we get, and since we get truth, we share what we have learned and consequently give truth to others.

The truth be known, usually only people who love truth will take of their time to share what they have learned. Perhaps that is the reason we have truth here. Dishonest people do not stay long because it takes too much time with no immediate payout $-wise.. They never learn the true principle of service to others. Service being one of the ways to true happiness..

Our Initial Pay Is Satisfaction

We give comments and are rewarded with wonderful encouraging comments. Satisfaction is our reward. It takes time to build a website and make it profitable and so we work & struggle until we start seeing traffic and eventually we hit paydirt and find success at Wealthy Affiliate.

May we all continue to give service to one another as we journey through this wonderful adventure!

Linda.

Thank you Linda - this is such a wonderful statement of the truth that surrounds us here in the WA community. We help, and we grow together - there's just nothing like it. It makes it easy for me to refer family and friends to join us.

And any other people that join but "don't fit =-in here" aren't likely to stay anyway as you say because it's not "quick and easy money" which is just fine with me.

Have a great day today - I always look forward to your posts!
John 😁👍

Thank you for your kind comments. Words of truth resonate within us as we hear them. We all have the ability to discern truth when we hear it. The wonderful part about WA is that a person has the chance to try it before they buy it, to investigate further evidence of the truth of it.

We recognize the honesty as we are instructed on so many topics. It is so great. I've never had such interaction in any business I've been in.

Linda

Love the story and tie in. Thanks, Linda.

Very insightful post Linda--loved how you tied it all together. BTW, what is a broken block and why is it irreparable? Just Curious--

Jeff

Thanks for the kind words Claudio. This is a great place to hang our hat for each day, for sure!

Thanks for sharing. There is certainly a lot of satisfaction from helping and sharing.

Many times in my comments I find the makings of a new blog post. It is very satisfying to know you create something that can inspire others.

What a wonderful post, Linda! I love the parallel with the blind tuner.
You are absolutely that our pay is satisfaction. Serving is indeed a big source of happiness. The feeling when you do someone a favour....can't be described, can it?
May you be blessed all the way!

Service is a word that is seldom used in some businesses. It is so good that here at WA.
Thanks
Joe

Yes, service here at WA has been the key thing that keeps me going here. It feels so good when you know you have helped someone. It also is rewarding to see how we each have grown in our writing skills. Very interesting how that works, isn't it?

Great feeling!
Joe
