How is My Website Traffic?

How is My Website Traffic? My traffic could be compared to WyomingCovid-19 cases vs New York Covid-19 cases. I would be like Wyoming. My traffic numbers are very low.

So my stats are minimal, however, thanks to Google Analytics, nearly 50% of my traffic is coming from referrals from Social Media.

I wasn't doing Social Media at first, and then I read someone's blog on Pinterest. It was compelling enough that I decided I better try it. I then called a couple friends and asked them if they would post my article on Pinterest and Facebook. It's been since then that my numbers have changed. They improved for the most part.

In addition, I just started pinning my article to Pinterest and posting them on FB. Jury is still out on thiese results. LOL

The stats on Social Media vs. Organic have been crazy.

My organic traffic bounces are at 100%, but the referrals from Facebook and other Social Media are staying and reading many posts. That tells me that Social Media is KING!

REFERRALS

When someone tells a friend about your website then that person is more likely to go look at what their friend said than not. So, if you aren't using Social Media, all I can say is "WHY NOT?"

I added Pinterest and Facebook to my website and that has helped my stats.. My numbers have improved but are still lower than I want. My motto is "Baby Steps" so I take more baby steps and add Patience, in the hopes that I can eventually improve my numbers overall.

If you are having traffic problems then don't try and reinvent the wheel. Use what is working.

Which Social Media do you think helps the most with your traffic? I appreciate your comments as do others in the community, I am certain.

Thanks in advance for your comments and experiences.

Blessings

Linda

Thanks Linda, it’s disheartening when you read the analytics, (as I did yesterday) and noticed like you my bounce rate was 100%, google said when bounce rate is 100% your readers had a terrible experience, 😢😢

I think your advice is good and should be taking more time to devote to social media.....it doesn’t come naturally, but then I guess nothing does when first you start..

🙏❤️

Well, you are right about the disheartening part. But if you just hang in there and keep
*doing the training and
* learning more and more, and
*writing more and more articles,
* and learn some more,
etc.

Eventually things turn around. But the TURNING POINT for me was when I added social media. I just noticed last last night that a close friend of mine shared my "quarantined" article. That's what it takes for others to notice you. One person puts it out there and then someone shares it and it gets shared to several who in turn share it and...., you get the picture.
Lots of blessings,

Linda

Thanks Linda...👍

I agree social media is KING. I use 4 social media platforms: Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter. Once I post a new blog then I go to all 4 and update and always attach new blog to draw people back to my website. I guess thats the best way to do it but if anybody has any input on this please let me know.
Thanks for sharing here!!

I haven't got going with Instagram or Twitter yet. Baby Steps remember? Glad you liked my post! Best wishes!

Hey Linda,
I am in the same boat as you with low traffic. I feel the same that baby steps it will be. I post 1-2 posts a week in the hope Google will catch wind and put me out there.
I read EmakAmelia's post on using Pinterest. That has been slow but my blogs have about 30 views each with a few pins and direct clicks to my site. Slow go but it is way better than before.
Facebook and Twitter are tough but keep plugging away and it will work out in the end. Pi test seems to be the best option so far.

How exciting to see your traffic increasing. I got bogged down for a couple of weeks but gettin' back in the groove again.

Linda

Awesome, Linda! It would seem that things are looking up a little for you!

Jeff

I sure hope so. If Google doesn't through in any new dance steps that is. haha

Linda

Yes, unfortunately, there is always THAT possibility, Linda!
