Breathe and Rejuvinate the Mind
An older gentleman was starting speaking to a group of people and noticed that a lot of souls were sitting there nodding, trying to stay awake.. He could see that the audience needed to breathe and rejuvinate the mind.
He started out by saying "I want you all to lean forward in your seats. Now take a deep breath.... Hold it for a moment,... now lean back slowly and let out your breath."
Then he said "How did that make you feel? I know. I got kind of a rush from that." We laughed, the poor old man probably needed it worse than we did. . He went on to say "I can see that it woke a lot of you up" There was chuckling in the audience. He went on to say "Why or what did that little exercise do for you?" Then he said "It got oxygen flowing to your brain didn't it? We are all mortals and we need oxygen."
I have thought a lot about what this old man had to say, realizing how important it is to breath more while I sit at my computer

It reminds me of a blog that Tim MurphyRN posted about sparing 4 minutes to help us rejuvinate our bodies. It is 4 minutes of exercising to help us focus and do better work as we craft our content.
Taking the time to keep our minds awake and alert will help us be better bloggers and business builders. Just as the old gentleman suggested, if we lean forward and take a deep breath and then lean back and let it out slowly, we will stimulate the brain by breathing refreshing oxygen into our body. Add Tim's 4 minute exercises and we'll be battin' a hundred soon.
May we each take the time to enliven our minds and exercise our bodies which in turn oygenates the brain, achieving the ultimate brainpower to accomplish our tasks at hand while we build our businesses here at Wealthy Affiliates.
Blessings.

A great reminder, Linda. Thank you. That elderly gentleman was right with what he was saying. I must remember his remedy for enlivening my mind. I have a permanent breathing problem and even with that, I sit at the computer and forget to exercise my breathing and my body. If I sit for too long I find it hard to stand up again. Harm can be done to our body with continual hours of sitting and working at a computer screen. In spite of that, I still continue in the same manner. Some people never learn!!
I know. I'm on oxygen at night and have a meter to check mine. I actually had the hose kink at night once and ended up in ER because of a horrific headache. Turned out to be oxygen deprivation. And even still I needed to hear that old man's words.
Blessings, Linda
Our breath is so important to us. That unfortunate occurrence one night must have been very disturbing for you. May we each remember that old man's words from now on.
Sending blessings to you, Linda,

Hi Linda,
Just breathe deeply when you can, it does the body good! Thanks for sharing! This will be my go to exercise whenever I feel tired and need a pick me up.
Much success to you!
Kind regards,
Nichola
Nichola, I am remembering to breathe more often too. Adding Tim's 4-minute exercises also helps pump more o2 to the brain also.

Important to take breaks...I've started doing the long walk down my driveway to the road twice a day, just to get me away from this computer.
Lol. I started off reading you blog while I was yawning . So I did the breathing exercise and felt a lot better. Jim
