What does Wealth mean to you?
Does it mean money? Actual cash, piles of money, vast sums in the bank?
Maybe living in a big house or owning a country estate?
Is your aim to be wealthy for those reasons?
What else can it mean?

- .a plentiful supply of a particular desirable thing.
Wikipedia says:
Wealth is the abundance of valuable financial assets or physical possessions which can be converted into a form that can be used for transactions. An individual possessing a substantial net worth is known as wealthy.
Common Sayings.
And yet we have such terms as 'A wealth of information'. Just what we have here at Wealthy Affiliate.
'Good health is wealth.' For people with health issues, good health is a wealth beyond measure.
'If you have love in your life then you have great wealth.' Would money mean anything if you don't have those you love to share it with?

Wealth is all those things to me Linda. Health, money, family and friends.
I've met many people with lots of money who have lost all their family and friends to get it. Suddenly, they realise you can't buy the special friendship and love that makes life sweet.
It's no good wrecking your health in pursuit of money or not planning for an unexpected health challenge.
A good life has balance.

'Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.'
Upon researching this little proverb it can be traced back (somewhat tenuously, methinks) to:
"Who soo woll ryse erly shall be holy helthy & zely." Circa 1486.
In turn that becomes 'Wise, healthy and fortunate' which isn't too much of a stretch to get to 'Healthy ,wealthy and wise'
If I then break that down into five areas, I find that I can only claim to be succesful in one. I can get up early.
You can add wise and fortunate ..... or maybe that's us who are fortunate to have your wisdom.
I reckon you are successful in general.
How did you find that early a proverb? I am clearly not reading the right things.

Fortunate I'll take, thank you. Wise, under advisement. I'd like to say I have a copy of 'The Book Of St.Alban's' from whence it came but alas not. Mr. Google came up with the site 'phrases.org.uk'
Having a quick peruse, as one does, gave some history to 'Silence is Golden' A passage translated by William Carlyle in 1831 gave this:
"Sprecfien ist silbern, Schweigen ist golden (Speech is silver, Silence is golden); or as I might rather express it: Speech is of Time, Silence is of Eternity."

Oh absolutely, no one can live of fresh air. Plus you can't work effectively if you are always consumed by worries over money and whether you eat or pay a bill.
I think wealth is having what you need to survive with some level of comfort. More than that would be "luxury". Nothing wrong with luxury as long as it doesn't come at the near-term expense of not saving/investing enough to be comfortable and cared for as long as you may live - without being a burden to others. That's what I'm aiming to achieve.
At first look, the word “Wealth“ seems to be about money.
However, when you start thinking deeper, there are phrases like “a wealth of knowledge”, or “wealth of information”.
It seems like it could be meaning abundance.

Yes, monetary wealth would be nice because there are lots of things I would do if I had the money. However, the wealth that is more important is an abundance of health, happiness and good friends. I get by with a little help from my friends, as the song says. True wealth, I believe, is a richness of the life experience. As I have that, I feel I'm a very wealthy person.
