Today's choices make tomorrows future.
Did you make any life changng choices today?
No?
Are you sure?
Every choice creates the future from the little choices to the big one. Food choices determine future health as do habits good and bad.
Going to the gym, running, exercise in general.
Food choices impact health. What you choose to drink, sugary drinks or water, tea or coffee, smoothies or fruit juice all effect your future self.
Drinking alcohol, smoking, drugs, junk food
Spending choices, job choices, so many life choices constantly changing the future.
Everyday we make so many choices on autopilot without considering the consequences.
Every single choice you make or don't make has consequences for the future you.
What's that? You didn't make a choice so its not your fault? Even that is a choice! Choosing to do nothing is still making a choice.
Everyday we create our future with our choices. Do you really want to do that thoughtlessly?
Coming to WA was a choice as was staying and becoming a Premium member. Deciding to work hard and stick with it is a major choice your future self will thank you for.
So when you are ready to give up, stop and consider the person you will become. Will that future you thank you for giving up? Of course not!
Make a concious choice to stick with it no matter what.

A very good post. I read a motivational book (unfortunately, a friend borrowed it so can't remember the exact title...I believe the author was named Tom Murphy.) Anyway, in this book he talks about moving on your life track and coming to a place where the path splits, and you have to make a choice. That point is called the "moment of truth," because what you choose will truly affect where you end up. Those moments of truth are so important, and we need to figure out which fork to take.
Thank you Fran. I agree with Tom.
I also believe that when we are on the right track things go smoothly, doors open, new opportunities pop up etc. The wrong track produces constant hardship and obstacles. It's never too late to go back and take the right path though.
Thank you Sara. It is hard to remember to make concious choices rather than on autopilot though.
Good thoughts Linda. I always tell my grandkids "Choices have consequences!" Thanks for sharing
Thank you Linda. I always say the same thing to mine. It seems rare these days that youngsters understand that.
So true. I suspect we don't pay as much attention to our choices as we should because it's hard to see much effect on a day-to-day basis. Too bad, because like you noted above, all those choices really do add up. Thanks for a great reminder!

How often do we hear "I didn't have a choice, I had to do it" It's an easy excuse to drop on when things don't go as planned. We always have a choice. The options before us may not always be the most attractive ones but we still need to take a step back and review the information, then make our best choice accordingly.
Great post Linda.
Very true Twack, thank you.
