Thank you and an apology.
Big thank you to Diane Scorpio for letting me know that my post asking you to welcome a newcomer was not permitted. I had no idea. Having seen others in the past I didn't realise.
The post has now been deleted but a big thank you to those that responded, much appreciated.
EDIT: I have been thinking about this and realised that actually it is commonsense, had I stopped to think. Doh!
When you consider the amount of people that join this amazing platform daily, it's not surprising it isn't permitted. Otherwise tons of posts every day would be the same, wanting us to welcome new people. So it does make perfect sense!

It's understandable that we don't want to clog the platform with requests. Maybe just ask a few people that you know well, using a private message. Or is there a better choice?
Thank you Diane, it is understandable once you think about it. I just didn't stop to think first.
Really don't know Diane although you wouldn't want the new person to suddenly be inundated with people either. Didn't think of that before either.
Hi - if all members asked others to welcome their new referrals, then the entire platform would be inundated with this type of request. There would be hundreds of posts every day. Kyle has confirmed that we can't do this.
Well Diane if that is the logic being applied than we should not be able to ask advice or for help, which inundates my inbox, as everyone should just refer to all the training, surely?
Trevor
Me too Jim but having thought about it, we wouldn't want posts asking the same thing to be flooding WA daily. So it actually does make a lot of sense.
Hi Linda - yes, you are correct in saying that others have added similar posts, which don't always get picked up. Good luck with your referral!

Yes, it's about time, now don't do it again!
Garry.
Yuk, yuk yuk.
Sorry I was just joking. But the reason I took the mickey was it didn't feel right. Nothing about it did.
My thought was "how ridiculous, what if everybody did this!"
Garry.
I didn't read everything properly I didn't realise Diane had surfaced.
