So . I was wondering?

So everything is geared to blogging sites on here, from what I've learnt so far. But what about selling from one of my wordpress sites, can I do that?

How easy is it to set up? Can't decide whether to do that on here or on my regular website.

Though I still haven't got my domain from outside here yet.

Anyone got a site selling actual goods?

Not everyone on here has blogging sites. Some members use Shopify with products from drop shipping. Drop shipping can be expensive and takes time to do the fulfillment. Requires a lot of research and marketing ads to see what products that you sell wins. There are many ways to sell on your WP blogging sites for the purpose of getting multiple streams of income. I know some made their own themes from WP and sells it as a niche. Sales funnels help you to find prospects and build an email list through an autoresponder like aweber.

I tried shopify once and didn't like it, it was way more complicated than I was used to.#I shall have to learn about sales funnels. I'm used to just advertising on social media and selling products. Nice and straightforward, lol.
Thank you for your help.

I dont blame you. I think Jay did a training on how to make a sales funnel in WP. You can check it in the black search box see if the training is there or from other members or get a landing page that is a sales funnel as well, that can be made in WP also.

Thank you very much.

Yes, you can do,that. Best is to have theme that allows that.

Thank you Fleeky.

Starting to get one ready, have to decide which site to use, as I want to install a proper working funnel, with both upsells and down sells, but you can do it.

I have no idea of the difference between up sells and down sells even, let alone how to create a funnel. I.m not really sure how funnels worked.
Thank you for the support Stuart.

Linda,
Plan to do a blog on my site regarding opt-in forms, and funnels in this next phase of SAC might be 3/4 weeks.

Will you let me know when you do please? Maybe send a PM? If you wouldn't mind that is. Thank you so much.

Linda have made a note, so hopefully I will remember.

Thank you very much.

Hi Linda, I was trying to sell Amazon goods, right out of my present site. Unfortunately for them the pulled the plug on me. I am currently trying trying to sell other products through different affiliates. It is a good idea to wait till your website is generating traffic before you join any affiliates. All the best.
Michael

I have just become an Amazon Associate/affiliate and from that was invited to be an influencer, I accepted and suddenly had a shop too. Not quite sure how that happened but my 22 yr old granddaughter came and created lists and filled it for me.
Seems that an influencer is much like an affiliate. You advertise stuff you like and get a commission if people buy. Will see how that goes.
I was wanting to know about a shop for dropshipping.
Thank you for responding.

Sounds great Linda. Wonderful granddaughter you have there. All the best,
Michael

Thank you, will see how it pans out, have yet to set up regular tweets for it and for the site up and running on here.
My granddaughter is a lovely girl, I looked after her a lot, well all of them, when they were young and we remain close. I am very lucky.

Hi Linda - WooCommerce is a popular plugin for setting up a website to take product orders.

Jay has a great webinar on that topic, in which he demonstrates building a WooCommerce website:

Hi NewLaurie, would that be a separate website from the one you already have going on. Thank you

That depends on one's plans. If your current niche supports the idea of selling products, there's no reason to start from scratch with a new website.

WooCommerce is is plugin that works on our WP websites - their website states:

"If you have an existing site and want to install WooCommerce, using the WordPress Admin is the most straightforward option as it handles everything for you."

Thank you for that information Laurie, I am looking at that now. I have added it to the new site and will see how it works out.
Thank you for responding.

Hi Laurie, sorry to keep bugging you. I have the one site. Installing the WooCommerce plugin, what are your opinions on how it may affect site speed. I got lousy mobile speeds with desktop speeds in the 100's.
Thank you,
Michael

Michael - I can't offer any advice there because I'm not using WooCommerce. If you ask this question to the community, someone will know first-hand of its affect on site speed.

Because it's such a popular and highly rated plugin, I suspect it doesn't slow loading speed, but I don't know for sure. It's a good question.

Thank you Laurie. Appreciate your feed back.
Michael

Linda, it seems to me like you would set it up just like the format in the training goes for setting up a website. If I am incorrect, I hope someone will explain to me the difference. Aren't all websites Blogging sites?
I have been giving thought to set up another site since the one I am working now is Primarily being used for Affiliate training enrollment only. And I have all types of things that I could be blogging about.

Sonny

My outside sites aren't wordpress and are only blogging sites if you choose to add a blog. I had no idea people blogged to get traffic, I have always used social media for traffic.
All the stuff you need for any of it is just drag and drop. I can sell direct from them. The biggest faff is loading items on there and writing descriptions.
Thank you for responding.

OK, now I understand. :)

yes you can in the black strip at the top of your profile type in drop shipping
Sandy

Thank you.
