Since I bought my domain from WA I keep getting the message below. It won't accept any post URLs, new or old.

'URL not in property

Inspect a URL in the currently selected property or switch properties'

Every other site and blog I have is fine, accepts the URLS and indexes them.

Just not my WA site. It did start to work but not now. Any ideas? I have been checking it but still not doing it.

Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Edit: All Sorted out now thank you.

look at some plugin installed that does not like the blog ... something like that I had to change recommended by WA support

Thank you Antonia.

Hi Linda.
Keep checking over the fine details..........within the problem is the solution. Maybe need to re trace steps. WA Support are the best bet or Kyle or Carson. Keep persisting. keep us all updated.

I removed it from google console then added it back in, seems to have solved the problem for now.
Thank you.

Well done Linda! Patience and persistence always wins!!!!!! Have an awesome weekend!

Hope you got the answer you are looking for.
Cheers.

Thank you David.

Hi Linda, if you can do a few screen captures of what is happening especially in your properties section and submit them to site support, I think that would the fastest way to solve the problem.
All the best,
Michael

Thank you Michael. By the sound of it I might be expecting too much too soon again. It feels like its taking forever.

Seems like I am having similar challenges. I got Site Support involved last Wednesday and it finally wound down to submitting a new sitemap.xml which I did. Since then I am waiting on Google to Crawl everything.

Sonny

Thank you for responding.
The sitemap is fine and now it has submitted the original posts for indexing, still wont accept the new ones even though they are in google analytics.

I can only guess based on what you've said Linda. And the way I see it, it's possible that you haven't added the property yet to your Search Console. Maybe you should address that first.

Thank you for responding.
It was already in there with all my other ones. (outside of WA)

Dominic said it right.

Make sure to go to all in one seo... and to set your google properties there. Clicking the question, marks, leads you throught the process...

Good luck

Agree with Alex, site support might be the quickest way to answer this for you.
Stuart

Thank you Stuart.

One more question Linda - Have you requested with the Inspection Tool in your Google Console?

Yes I have, it came back every time with the same thing,

Hi, Linda that seems strange the best thing to do, could be to launch a ticket with site support they are very helpful and will save you some time.

Thank you Alex, if I can't solve this I will.

3 questions for you Linda

Have you transferred your content from the old domain to the new?

Have you registered your new domain with Google Console and Google Analytics?

Have you inserted the new domains code within your wordpress?

Thank you for responding and helping.

I thought it was done automatically. I didn't see any instructions telling me otherwise.

It was already in Google console. Have now removed and added again to analytics.

Have no idea what the last one is, sorry.

All the original post URLs are in Google Console now, though it still refuses to accept the new posts.
The old siterubix was still in analytics, have removed that now.
Thank you.

Yes it should have transferred everything over automatically but you have to give it 30 days.
Doing it manually in Google Console and Analytics will hurry it along.

If you haven't put the code for the new domain in your wordpress then it wont recognize the URL of the new site and you wont be getting any Data in your Google Console or your Google Analytics.

You must have inserted the code from your GC in your WP for the old URL but now that's gone you will have to do it again for the new URL.

Thank you. Was starting to get worried.
Is that the code that goes into the header bit?

Thats the one (see pic)

You can either insert it directly underneath <head> or directly above if underneath doesn't work.

Thank you so much Robert, will do that tomorrow, its getting late and I have orders to do now. Your help is very much appreciated.

Happy to help and there are trainings on this procedure.
Marion Black has done one with an alternative method.
Enjoy your Monday.
Robert

Thank you for all your help you are a star!
I spotted a couple of other issues with site health so have contacted support now anyway.Fingers crossed it will all be better.

No probs and whatever the issue is I'm sure Support will sort it out for you or at least point you in the right direction to fix it.
Robert

They are on the case and have sorted it thanks. Was amazed how fast they responded.

Linda

Thats great and no probs about helping you.
You will probably still need to get your new site verified by Google Console though or at the very least submit a new sitemap.

I will do that thank you.

No probs, best to be safe now than sorry later you didn't re-submit.
