What exactly do i look for when naming my website?
You should use a great keyword for a name and it should be associated with your Brand (you).
If you don't want to do that then of course your name should relate to the product/service you are promoting.

That means if my name is not associated with the brand then I can't use it, especially if its not well known
There is not much point in using your own name if you are promoting someone else's product.
But you can have a great website URL that includes great keywords that reflect that brand.
Your own name brand is usually associated with your own product.

The use of keywords is a must. Mention keywords in your title and in your content too.
