I am looking at purchasing a new site to host at WA. They say that I need to have a host that must be Linux, have a standard cPanel with PHP5 or later. Do we meet those qualifi
When you say purchasing a new site, do you mean an existing website from someone?
WA don’t use cPanel, as far as I am aware and the website would have to be using WordPress to be hosted here.
Do you mean domain name? You don’t need to buy a website, you can install WordPress for free and build the website yourself.
Or is it a pre-made website?
Yes, it will also be impossible to rank on Google as well if the content has been indexed previously on another website.
Do you want to PM the link, if you have the site live, and I'll check some of the content for you?

When I click on this step, I keep getting a "Bad page" error
If I want to see how my site looks "live" do I simply publish or will that actually publish it for the world to see? I am not ready for the world yet
Hi - the first thing that needs to happen is that Google has to find your website. This is called indexing and can take up to a couple of weeks. You will get an email when it happens. Until then, your website is not in its search engines.
It will be some time yet before your site is seen by anyone, so just continue working on it as normal.
No I am just setting the site up. I just started yesterday. This was one of the checklist items as I am building my site

Where are you clicking on this step? Here at WA or on your WordPress site? If here, could you please include the exact URL?
I can see that your website is live, that you have made a few customisations, removed the default post and comment, and that the sample page is still there. I'm therefore presuming that you have managed to get this sorted now?

This website looks better than the other one and I can see a good future with it. Keep building it up, I suggest to focus on one website at this stage and I'm sure you'll get there where you want to be.
