Welcome to 2020! This will be a great year!
I focused my efforts in 2019 on gaming and had okay results. We are monetized on our Twitch channel but not even close on YouTube. Need 1K subs and 4K hours viewtime and we have less than 400 subs and about 2.4K hours viewtime.
The good news! I tested a method (YouTube ad campaign) for getting viewtime and it works (600 hours viewtime in 2 days), so getting 4K hours viewtime is easy. I'll be doing a video on how to get YouTube viewtime on our gaming channel before the end of April 2020. I also have an idea on how to get the 1K subs and that will be tied in with the method for getting viewtime.
I don't believe in putting my eggs in one basket, so I've decided to pick up where I left off on my main website and on my fledgling YouTube channel that is all about how to become financially independent and start working for yourself at home and not working for someone else in their office. I'll make a video specific to marketing this channel and put the results within the financial independence YouTube channel. The marketing will be different depending on the genre of the YouTube channel.
I've had a few free referrals thanks to my minimal efforts in 2019, but I need to increase that number and convert the referrals to paid memberships. That is an area where I'll need help or at least be looking for answers. After all, if the folks don't switch to a paid membership then they are not going to be able to take full advantage of everything that WA has to offer.
I'd also like to add training to WA based on what I learn from placing YouTube ads. It's been a while so I'll have to look into what I need to do that, as well. I'd rather people learn from my paying for ads than have them make the same mistakes with their own hard-earned money.
Well, let's kick 2020 in the butt and get this going 'cause I ain't getting any younger!!!

An update for myself, I'm at almost 700 subs! Don't know if I'll make my target date of 1 November for 1K subs, but I've got a plan for October that will help.
Why 1 November? Because my "how to assemble turkey fryer" video typically gets several thousand views in November. It'd be nice to see that in dollars, but even if not we will get to 1K subs by year's end one way or another.
