Rank and Activity Relationship
Hi everyone, hope all is well.
Well here I go again. I am not a good writer, and finding the words is a difficult task for me. I realize to grow here at WA, I need to be active in all the forums here. Blogging, posting, commenting and so on.
I spent some time wandering around WA especially in the, "Rank" area. My rank has remained at 37 for the last nine days. So how does this whole thing work. It has puzzled me, and at times I have fired a few blanks at this part of the system.
Contribution is key. These are my ranking stats, when broken up:
Helper Rank: 30
Creator Rank: 48
Member Rank: 37
I really do not know if those numbers are good or bad, they are what they are.
I have asked a few friends to help me with this post, and I hope what they have to say may apply to you in a positive way.
There are a lot of things we can not afford to take granted for. The tornado that hit Nashville, TN. No one knew it was coming, and within a few hours peoples lives were changed forever.
A major change in the world has occurred. "The Corona Virus", a complete city evacuated. As I understand we still do not know what was the cause of this outbreak. Personally I think knowing the cause is important. Cause - Effect - Treatment. No one can say for sure there is a treatment, just a confinement of the affected people.
OK, I am trying here and that is all I can do. Actually that is all anyone can do. I am using these quotes from famous people because I use them when I feel like giving up. WA does consume a lot of my time. I need to be encouraged every once in a while to keep on going. I count on the ranking system for that and, that is a negative act on my part. Do the best you can without expecting anything in return. A great way to avoid setting yourself up for disappointment.
Well I hope some of the quotes come in handy when in times of doubt. Like Muhammad Ali states, "Don't Count The Days, Make The Day's Count". Forget about the failures, learn from them, and rejoice in the success you are guaranteed.
Well that is about it for me. I wish that everyone's journey here is fruitful. The teachings, lessons and community here are by far the best you can find.

Michael I loved the quotes you have given. In these hanging times it is certainly helpful to have these reminders to get us through.
I myself with so many health and medical professionals in my family I have no fear and yet a common sense approach is taken overall.
At my age I have continued to build a strong immune system, wash hands and stay away from large crowds. This and flu shots has kept me free for way more than 20 + years from these sicknesses. I also have a strong faith which never fails me as well.
My ranking has changed quite a lot in the past few months, but I can accomplish much more when I help when I can and concentrate on my marketing and content overall.

Hi Bill, we have to be cautious, even more so now. You seem to be practicing good health habits and that is so necessary. Nice to hear that you are a strong believer in your faith also.
I see my rank has dropped from 37 to 30. I think a lot has to be active here and keep up with our posting.

I have noticed that my Helper rank stayed at the same place (0) for the longest time. It just jumped up recently after I started a few days ago answering lots of questions and writing blog posts that are educational, don't know if that affects the rank.
I'm fairly new at this and I can imagine I would feel bad if my rank were as good as yours and then went in the wrong direction.
However, what does your rank within WA Top 200 have to do with the success of your business? Is there a higher affiliate commission if you get into the top 12?
Actually it was my Creator rank that was stuck at 0. I'm glad it finally budged.

Absolutely right Bryce. It is just that when something does not make sense, I just got to open my big mouth. Right now I have been stuck on 26 for eight days. It is what it is.
