Leon,
My suggestion is to walk through and see if you did anything while you were setting the theme and plug-in. Sometimes, plug-ins are not compatible with some themes, so I would check it out. Normally, when you go to download a theme it will tell you whether it is compatible with the theme or not, so that would be a good place to begin troubleshooting.
Also take the time to see if you accidentally changed anything in the theme that may cause to throw things off. Backtrack and try to remember everything you did before and after and this may help you figure out the problem. If all else fails, contact technical support and see what they can do for you.
I hope this helps,
Manny
Hi Manny
Thanks a lot sir, what I ended up doing was just to greate a page and post it as the main forum in the menu and placed all the sub-menus of the forum under that.
I know it might not be the best thing to do, and I might have lost some functionality, but it works 100%... LOL
Regards
Leon

A good day to all.
One od the pages on my newly built site was ranking on page 3 of Google, since I have built a sitemap for the site, the page kept on dropping. At this stag
I am thinking it is doing the Google bounce. This happens on newer sites. The best thing to do for now is keep an eye on it and keep adding content. The site map might just be a coincidence.
It should settle down in a week or so and move back closer to where it started.
Hi Shawn
Thanks a lot, I was just worried that this might be a downward spiral for some reason.
Can you please give me a little more info regarding this "Google bounce" as I can't find the term.
Thanks for your input, appreciated.
LOL... Found the "problem".
Still on page 4 for Google.co.za, but on page 9 for Google.com.
I don't know how my browser switched between the 2.
newer sights and newer content will bounce up and down in rank unexpectedly. It is to be expected and will settle down after a bit. I do not know what the cause is but it is very real. :)

Hi guys.
Was wondering if anyone can shed some light on the subject of pinging an article or blog. Is it still effective and needed with the new Google structure?
Than
Yep it's still is effective - you're simply telling Google you have new content come check it out (crawl my site)
Also the way wordpress is set up it automatically pings your new content for you
Thanks Leo, appreciate the input.
The reason why I asked is that the other day I read somewhere that it isn't effective anymore and that Google actually penalise you for pinging.
No they don't penalize you - they would if you were pining your whole site all the time - but not for new content - you're good to go - no worries
