What happens if the WA closes down?

Hey everyone, this is a question I got from a person interested in the WA.

What happens if the WA closes down in a year, 5 years 10 years?

On the surface it's a valid question - and a fair question to ask.

Here is part of my response:

"Any company is subject to closing down, hell companies that were in business for over 100 years have closed down. So the reality is nothing is guaranteed."

Now if we step back and take a deeper look at this question - personally I see this question coming from a point of fear.

Sure she is asking about the strength of the WA - but when you get down to it - it's FEAR!!

This is a fear of failing, it's not the fear of the WA closing down, that's just an excuse.

That's something to tell herself that her decision not to take the step to move forward is validated by the "chance" the WA could close down tomorrow.

So to avoid the pain of failing - she won't join.

And you know what that's her decision - I'm not here (and nor should you) to convince someone to do something they don't want to do.

It makes absolutely no sense in convincing someone to come here when they really don't want to be here.

And I can predict the future.

Even if you convince this person to join - they are not here 100% - because of that fear, because of the victim story they keep telling themselves everyday.

They will find a reason to quit, and guess what? When they quit, they will say "I told you so, I told you teh WA does not work"

And now they have validated to themselves that they were right, the WA does not work they failed and off they go.

And off they go to just do this over and over again.

It's not worth the time and energy to spend time trying to convince someone to do something they don't want to do. I never do it, I can put my energy to better use.

Only when this person gets to the point of either inspiration or desperation will they make the decision on their own.

And when they do, that's when you are there for them.

Because once they are at inspiration or desperation - (and those are only the two times when people will do something)

This person is still afraid, but because of either inspiration or desperation they are willing to work through that fear so they can achieve what they want to achieve.

And the really cool thing is once this person makes that decision and moves forward you know what I hear a lot of the times?

I usually hear: "I don't know what I was afraid of"?

Other then the fear of failure, It's the fear of the unknown, which creates that fear of failure. It's a vicious cycle. And can be hard to get out of.

And it's because our little brains run wild with what could happen - but it's running wild in the wrong direction, it's running towards all the bad things that could happen.

The trick is to train your brain to run wild in the other direction - make it run in the direction of all the good things that can happen when we do something we are afraid of.

So if you come across someone like I did, understand where they are at, simply tell them all the good things that can happen, let them know you are there for them when and if they decide to move forward.

And then move on. The ball is in their court.

That's exactly what I did.

Here's the rest of my response to her:

"Any company is subject to closing down, hell companies that were in business for over 100 years have closed down. So the reality is nothing is guaranteed.

And I completely understand why you asked this question.

Sure the WA could close down tomorrow (I doubt that will happen) and it could run for the next 100 years - who knows. But there is no point on focusing on the things we don't have control over.

Personally I always choose to see the other side of things. Not what "can't" happen but what "can" happen. And I'm in total control of all my "can happens" And so are you.

I'm certainly not here to convince you to do something you're not ready or willing to do. But do know this; when you are I'm still going to be here - I'm not going any where.

And we can do this together!!

I believe in you
Leo

Now it's up to her, will I hear from her? Who knows?

Carson and Kyle are young guys ... and they LOVE what they are doing. But I remember Kyle's 2014 April Fools blog. I had just cautiously signed up, having recently been burned by my first online training experience.

Here is Kyle's blog: I'll admit I was freaking out with all kinds of negative thoughts along the lines of ... are you kidding me, is this going to be another SCAM.

I personally feel there is just too much success coming from this platform for it to just stop functioning. Kyle and Carson are building a young Team to help them run things so I can see a time where they might reduce their everyday involvement while still being very involved at a planning and decision making level.

To be honest I don't know how they find the time to be as involved on a daily basis as they are.

Just saying.

They find the time because the WA and their members are their passion

That's pretty obvious for sure ... they are on a mission to make WA the best internet business training website on the planet.

I liked your blog.
You are right. No- one can make someone else do something, unless that person is ready and willing to do it for themselves.
They have to set their minds to it and then act. They have to take action and move forward for themselves and then they will be in a position to help someone else.
Thank you for the article and Good Luck with your Success.

Marta

Yep for example people can tell someone to quit smoking and do so for years and the person knows they should quit, but nothing is going to happen until they are ready quit.

Same goes for joining the WA and building a buisness - not going to happen until they want it to happen

Just ask her showing her side of fear. " if she
knows when she is going to die and ask her whether she knows something better than a wealthy affiliate." In my opinion, I have heard that in order to succeed, desire for success should be great than fear of failure. Show her side someway otherwise end up saying "Thanks" and let her go.

Leo, you are one of the people that I respect most at WA. I agree 100% that FEAR is a major issue. Consider this... there are more Type 6 people in the world than all other types combined times 4. There will always be someone else looking for a Social Club like WA. WA might be shut down for legal reasons but other than that, I expect it to be around as long as it is easy money for someone.

I'm with you on this one totally.
Some people will use any excuse to not join with you when they are not being honest and they could just say that they changed their mind and are not interested.
Some gave genuine fears and in trying to put their fears to rest you then turn into a sales person maybe even sounding a little desperate in trying to convince them to join.
I just give the information and say get back to me when you are ready.
Time is money for most of us and although it may sound harsh you have to work with the ones who really want it ... what ever it is .

So true, it's a complete waste of time convincing people to do things they don't want to do, so don't do it.

Simply tell your story, share everything - be there to answer questions if they have any - and just keep focused on your path and welcome the people that want to join you with open arms - it's not hard nor complicated.

"...Simply tell them all the good things that can happen, let them know you are there for them when and if they decide to move forward.

And then move on. The ball is in their court."

I really like what you said. This advise is applicable to all sales situations. I actually face this a lot in my day job - feeling like I've to convince people all the time. It's tiring and can get washed out from the many rejections.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Leo.

You're welcome

I suppose it is one way to create order in your life. One of the best strategies is to cross bridges when we get to them . The next best thing is not to burn your bridges.. There are so many opportunity's out there if WA did close down opportunity's would present, that is life.
.

Spot on, so what if the WA closes down - the knowlege people gain here allows people to be independent of ANY program - and succeed anywhere online

I think there will eventually be a point where Kyle and Carson want to stop doing this. I don't believe we are anywhere near that point, but I don't know what their plans are.

However, I think there is enough brain trust here from other members that a similar service would emerge. Kyle and Carson may even decide to pass the reigns onto trusted members and stay on as silent partners.

Best Regards,
Jim

Yeah I'm sure it will happen one day, but like you I don't see that happening anytime soon

Nothing is guaranteed except our determination to succeed and let's say for the sake of argument that WA does close down at a point in the future. Guess what? You now have the knowledge and training to succeed all thanks to what WA has taught while it was around.

I've been doing some free lance work, writing articles for others and it has been successful. I would not have been able to do that if I had not joined WA and learned from the extensive training here and from the community.

Yep, the knowlege you gain from the WA goes well beyond the WA

What if it doesn't close down. What if he/she looks back 5 years from now and that person is in the same spot as they were today.I would suggest he/she ,to get a free account, the worse thing that could happen if WA closes she walks away with knowledge, she can apply elsewhere. No brainer.

Is like the person who said I don't want to win the lottery because I'd have to pay taxes.I have friends and family with that mentality,
no matter what you say, it will never work.Good Luck.

PS:

Don't spend too much time trying to convince them,I have done that and they suck the positive energy out of you.

Agreed!

"What f it doesn't close down?" Indeed, we/people need to flip the coin the other way at times to contemplate the contrary to their fears.
